Just for confirmation, Doug. On a bare metal application, you'd go Epoxy Primer, then you'd body work, then you either do a urethane/etching/high build primer depending on need, then a sealer. Often times the urethane/high build can also be a sealer, but you can refer to the technical data sheet. you don't need an "epoxy primer" before the topcoat. You just need sealer to make sure the thing being painted is a uniform color before being topcoated.

The epoxy seals the bare metal and protects it from rust, then you bondo over it and the bondo will last longer. If you bondo over bare metal and moisture gets in between the 2 the bondo holds the moisture in and can cause the metal to rust at a faster rate.

i gave more sound advice in chat. idk how you're get the van straight without a hammer and dolly to knock down high spots and shrink the metal. if you have a dent there's going to be corresponding high area around because that's the nature of metal. if take a sheet of steel, a punch and a hammer and hammer the punch on the steel you're going to have a dent but around it is going to get pushed up. metal working is probably the hardest part for a beginner. i use a few hammers, a few dollies and a stud gun. you don't really need the stud gun but you need a hammer and dolly. and don't mix resin and bondo, it's too hard to sand. thin with metal glaze or that honey stuff. i'm not a profeessional, i just paint cars in my garage and love your videos. good luck dougie

Mine was a solid two part dump. I thought it was "soft serve" turns out it was just greasy dookie. When I wiped there was barely any brown on the TP. The taste was off too.
