I’m a bass trombonist in 8th grade and yesterday my teacher was talking to me about upgrading my mouthpiece and he asked me if there were any bass trombonists I liked and I said no he showed me you now I do and also the bass trombone I play is his and YOU were the reason he bought it and he has the same one as you shire

There are maybe 4 or 5 bass trombonists worldwide that I can listen to all day and never get bored of it. Brian is definitely one of them. Technically so unbelievably secure but actually makes the instrument sing with the voice it was designed to have. This is a fabulous piece and very well played by everyone. Thanks for sharing.

By far my all-time favorite performance by any trombonist...not just bass. Love the sound, the piece...everything. I've wanted a Shires Bass since 2001, this video helped motivate me to start playing again and can finally say that his signature model horn should be here shortly!!!! Excited to suck.
