Basset Hound Babies Meet Daddy! Way Too Cute!

This one was too cute not to post. At three weeks old we let our basset puppies from our Toy Story litter meet daddy Noble. This is from July of 2012.

I had a basset that used to hide goodies throughout the house then 'fish' them out at her leisure. She'd hide them in the most ingenious places. They are not dumb. That's just an act.

Aww too cute. My basset hound is almost 2 years old. Hes not all that friendly with strangers but is sweet as pie to the family. Cries and runs behind your heels all day long. Hes a lap dog. Loves belly rubs and stubborn as he wants to be but he's my baby. I love my basset!

Hi Cindy, I would say an absolute yes to everything above! We have only been doing one litter a year. We screen very carefully and do home checks. This upsets a lot of people but our prime focus is the health and welfare of our babies and our adults. We only select homes for our babies that we feel we can have an ongoing relationship with. We even organize reunions here at home for our babies. Thanks!

When I was a kid, my mom and I once owned a Basset hound named Herman. He was a good boy, and I loved him very much. But unfortunately, he had to be put to sleep because of a medical condition. This video makes me miss him.

My aunt's basset had 10 puppies, me and my mom helped care for them and I can confirm that they are clumsy little buggers and often have trouble staying on their feet at this age, especially when they're this excited. They're just fine lol

Its very normal. Those pups are only a few weeks old. Dogs don't have total control of they're legs when they are so young still. Especially with this particular breed of dog. Bassets have very short legs to begin with and are not considered to be one of the most graceful dog breeds. But they are very gentle and make a great dog for a family. Theses puppies are so darn cute.

Aww this video is killing me. I loved it. My litter of pups were raised with their daddy right beside them...well they were in a whelping box and papa was on the outside but he would look in on them every now and again. At about 3wks they were moved from box to under our kitchen table and and full range of kitchen so every time he came through kitchen to go outside he would be attacked by 8 beauties trying to nurse off him.

Basset are very family oriented, we have a male 18 months old and got his sister a 6 week old female from the same parents, he accepted her right away, the ultimate big brother. They are now 5 and 3 and best friends.

Well lets see... Noble, the daddy in this video is 70 lbs. he is very active and not over weight. Noble is 75% European bloodline, which is naturally heavier. Kelly, the momma is 55 lbs. She has American bloodlines. Our other male Elvis is smaller at about 45 lbs. So you really have to look at the parents to see how much they will grow. I love it, the pups are amazing. I don’t know about the papa. I think he loves them, but I think he’s also wondering “Am I going to have to start being a dad? Because I’m quite happy just being a big kid.” It’s hard to tell with a basset hound. I love them, but their extra folds of skin make it hard for me to tell when they’re thrilled and when they are REALLY grouchy!

I had my Basset for 16 years and he was the most loving dog I've ever had. Whenever he got out and "went missing" I just had to listen for some kids and there he would be. Lazy as the day is long, but very loving and cute. I sure miss that Ole Hound dog!!!

I have bad news everyone. My mother in law and my wife owned a Basset Hound named Bubba he was 13 years old and last Saturday July 15, 2017 he died. He had to be put down. He was having liver failure and was vomiting some orange substance and he also had Cushing's Disease. Which made him pee a lot. My wife and mother in law is still devastated on the loss of Bubba. I am still sadden and shocked he died. He was a beautiful boy and we will miss him. I loved him as well They had him since he was a 5 week old puppy. He was the runt of his litter. His mom Kimber and dad Ollie had 3 litters. Bubba's litter was the last. Just wanted to let you know. If you reply thanks.
