I take a 1.4 oz jack hammer but take the big blade off big blade chatterbait put on jackhammer ,use 5.8 bellows gill use perch color keitch skirt.monsters can't wait for the 6 inch.

This old man in my hometown of Okeechobee gave me that bait in 2022 and told me that he assured me that the bass and the lake has not seen this bait and they're going to go wild. He was absolutely good on his word because on my second cast I caught a bass I didn't even know how to fish it how to rig it or anyting else so I tied it on Texas rig, Alabama shake it and kill it I only have three I know I caught six Bass definitely the bait of 2022 for me lake Okeechobee. Now I'm up in Kansas for last year up by Milford. The fishing's great in spring

Deebo's fishing went over some of these Bellows soft plastics. I got some when I saw them. They don't seem to get numbers, but the bass I do get with them are absolute tanks.

I would love to see the bellows shad come in some of the shorter sizes like the bellows gill. I think a 2.5” bellow shad would be a terrific BFS/finesse trailers for moving baits.

I fished a 2” bellows gill on a 1/16 oz flashback mini chatterbait Sunday and in 20 min I caught 3 sunfish, 3 crappie, and a 2 lb bass. The action was wild. I might try the 2.8” on a 1/8th oz microchatterbait and it might be lights out! All on 6 lb line and BFS. I caught a 4 lber on a 2.8” Texas rigged last month.

@@clintonbruning I’ve got a few alot the 2” and 2.5” gills and they have been great free rigged and Texas rigged. I’ll have to break mine out and try. Just wish somebody had a solid 1/16th oz chatter bait with a solid keeper.

@@chris_2413 I’m trying to get a couple small bait companies to do that now! Hhcustombaits can make you some killer micro chatterbaits either skirted or skirtless in any color you want for not that expensive. His smallest is 1/8th but the hook keeper on them is killer.

I think the water displacement is the hugest thing. The ribs on it really get the water circulating around the bait. I really think that bass key in on food by feeling the water movement. I remember holding my hand in front of my face trying to see my hand It was so dark while we were fishing and catching them every other cast with a weightless Texas rig. I watched a video yesterday of a dude catching Bass after Bass with a literal block of wood. He made it in his garage (search for block of wood lure). A 2.5" block of rectangle wood and 2 treble hooks. Kinda changed my outlook on these "lures of the year" BS fads.

It’s not a matter of what a bass will eat, it’s a matter of what bait is efficient enough to catch a 5 big bass which is much harder to do

Been using the Bug Bomb color on a rattling structure jig this year and having great success on tough bite days.

I think this bait would pair incredibly with a Jika Vibe, because then you get the bladed jig action and the ability to drag it on the bottom like a football jig.

Gotta throw it on a 3/0 or 4/0 belly weighted hook. Works well everywhere. 3.8” with 3/0 is a killer.

I wish I could see the look on the executives face that decided to cut Alton from their lure company when he sees Alton is #2 in the world now and has been killing it. Im sure he has sold a lot of these and will sell a lot more. Yes they are not the most durable but that is why they work so well. They are soft and have that movement that just catches bass

I’ve tried several different applications with the Bellows GILL but I haven’t gotten bit with it yet. That 5.8” looks amazing just getting ripped on a belly weighted swimbait hook. The way it falls is tantalizing.

We had it in italy since the very first introducion in the market… pre spawn 2021 has been WILD on that. The next season fish got used to it very quickly and now is a situational bait

A killer bait but falls apart very very quickly. I burned through 5 of them in less than 10 fish. And at 9.99 a pack, it gets expensive quick. Another great video per usual. Thanks Tyler

Been fishing the Gill, weightless, for about the last year and a half and MAN that thing is a killer. Throwing it in spots where you expect that wacky rig bite, but show them a bigger profile. This thing kills em. And best believe, Alton wasn't lying about bass not being shy of that 5.8, because they will MUNCH it.

In Germany we use them in smaller Versions for Trout fishing over years. Great baits and I also catched big mouth bass on it in the US. I used from Trout bait Jara the Mirax and the Boxter fat for catching some bass

All these new baits make me want to go 180 degrees on my lure choice and applications. Maybe we should do opposite of match the hatch! I don’t care what them big donuts think any lure i fish is. Doesn’t matter if its a reaction bite,a feeding bite, one just moving my lure off the bed or if they think its a taste test. If it gets bit ill throw it!

This is not a bait that's under the radar chief. This bait has been out in Japan for years. But! I'd agree it was a secret for quite a while. Pros aren't always keen on giving up the juice. Sad really, aren't they paid /sponsored literally to promote these baits??? Not really a question. Still an awesome bait
