Omori killed it. Glad to see him win another title.

There was the big big earthquake in Kyushu,Japan before this game,so Takahiro Omori entered with the Japanese national flag that wrote the message of encouragement. And he won. I was very impressed with his actions!!!

Love watching and learning about fishing bass. Just ordered my first baitcaster setup (Revo sx 3rd gen and a Duckett Ghost rod) and can't wait to get out and learn how to use it! Keep up the great work guys!

I have been watching AND LEARNING from the Bassmasters tv show & magazine since the days of Hank Parker, Guido Hibdon & Woo Daves... I didn't grow up with a strong fishing heritage in my family, just once or twice a year, if that, and it was always "be quiet or you'll scare the fish!" and I'd just go play in the woods instead. When I was in the Air Force, my friend asked me if I wanted to go fishing, he had an extra rod & reel, etc. I went and we caught soooo many catfish that night, our baits barely had a chance to hit the bottom before we had another bite! And I was HOOKED!!(no pun intended) I naively thought "wow, fishing is easy!" and we went back that very next night, fished all night long, and didn't catch a thing... LOL I soon got bored with bait soaking for catfish and started emulating what I saw on tv, watching every episode of In-Fisherman, Jimmy Houston, Roland Martin & Bill Dance. Bass fishing was fun, it was active & exciting as you never knew when something would grab your lure or what size it would be, so the anticipation just had you on the edge of your seat, figuratively speaking. You'd be staring a hole thru that Zara Spook as it zig-zagged its way across the water, so when a bass grabbed it, you about had a heart attack!! In a GOOD way, of course. hehehe

God what a lake!! The sheer number of bites and size on any of these elite places these guys fish is way better then my home lake, if you catch a 20 lbs bag it has to be early spring pre spawn and it's so much tougher to do it then somewhere like wheeler or Toledo bend. Makes you a better angler but can be a heartbreaker as well.

Tak is a bad bad bad man when there is a shallow water big fish bite going on. I watch him on MLF and man when he gets dialed you'd better watch out he can catch em and his execution is flawless. He keeps it so simple, the way he sets his boat up, to his tackle, to the way he fishes his strengths. He can do it all though, when bass was at SML last time he done awesome drop shorting docks, a deadly tactic on my home lake. I can relate to his style though, he's a power fisherman and so am i. I can catch em finesse and deep but I'd rather be throwing a square bill or fishing a worm in 10 ft or less of water. When I say worm I mean a big Texas rig worm 10 plus inches lol

Is the bassmaster elite series more prestigious than the flw tour? How do you wualify?
@caleb10294 жыл бұрын
Yes. The elites qualification is base on a point system you have to get to fish the elites, only the best and consistent makes it. Flw, you just have to be rich and pay to enter. Why some flw “pros” that leaves the flw tour have to start at the bottom or over to get into the elites.

Does anyone recognize Tak's swimbait? They say it's his bass pro swimbait, but I've never seen one like it.

He used a discontinued Bass Pros Shops EXPS swimbait, gray back and white body. More details on his baits in this gallery: www.bassmaster.com/slideshow/top-13-baits-wheeler-lake
