They have the old classics on KZbin and the technology change has been incredible ... for Rick Clunn to win in 2016 is amazing he didn't grow up with side imaging and down scans and 250hp outboards and all the stuff we take for granted so to me that makes it all the more amazing !
@stonehorn46416 жыл бұрын
Quinn Hunsinger while I somewhat agree, it's not like he hasn't been on the leading edge of new gear. If anything his old wins are more impressive than these. Guy is a legend though. I fished against him in 2002, before the Elite series even existed. The man has so much finesse, its incredible.

@stonehorn46416 жыл бұрын
Ian Hill yup. And now you can win more than that at a local amateur tournament. To be fair though, boats weren't 100k then (which is what modern 21' pro staff boats cost. (Cdn, I am a canuck). My 21 foot Triton was 78k, and its not a custom pro boat.

Was clunn fishing a chatterbait like a swim/jerkbait?
@carlilez8 жыл бұрын
I think it said it a was homemade "vibrating jig" I know where I live its a very common practice when using a chattarbait to jerk and pop it sporadically. It gets the skirts flairing and changes the profile of the lure and also the vibrations.

There is a lot of different ways to fish a cb. Popping it like that works really well it causes the skirt to pulse triggering a bite

Was just watching an old bassmaster from decades ago and they did a thing about his home life and interviewed him. He talked about nature and being part of/in tune with it while fishing. INSTANT FAN! He's THE MAN and truly what LEGEND means! Keep it up Rick! Also my grandparents had a place on Lake George in Seville, takes me back

Have you ever fished under tournament pressure? Its not like fishing for fun. Not even close.
@mattylites81133 жыл бұрын
I agree with clary carrier especially with all eyes on you. Have you ever caught anything over 7lbs not that easy most likely been caught before an they will do anything to get that hook out. Rub rocks, branches, shake, swim right at you to get tension off smarter than you think
