Thank god Cayuga is only about a 1 1/2 hour drive from home. This place is a fantastic fishery. I don't get out there enough unfortunately. I spend most of my time on the reservoirs and Oneida Lake. Last time I went, I wasn't catching the 4 pounders that Hackney was flipping in the boat over and over again, but still lots of fun, and plenty of smallmouth too!

Does anyone remember Bassmasters coming to Lake Tuscaloosa in Alabama and they all said they would never come back because they hated it?! Just some trivia for Bassmasters fans because I live on that lake and fish it a lot. It's a very very hard lake to fish and you can't pre fish because fish move so much.

It’s a method of deflating their swim bladder called ‘Fizzing’. The swim bladder is what keeps them upright and becuz the fish sits so deep, the swim bladder expands and doesn’t have proper time to naturally adjust their levels when they get reeled up in less than 30 seconds. If you let the air out it gives them a better chance to survive in the livewell, otherwise they’ll go belly up in ur well and most likely expire.

Pissed at his performance, and the added stress of AOY weighing on him. $100k that goes on to feed his family and pay bills. That amount of money would make any man stress a little bit more. Greg’s a great guy, but like all of us he had a stressful week and it showed.

Actually Greg is a great guy. He was stressed to the max this whole week, and like all of us he’s human and his emotions were shown. I’ve met him at numerous shows and tournaments and he’s almost always laughing and smiling.

He’s been my fav angler since his 2006 win on Sam Rayburn. The best jig fisherman on the planet, funny as hell, and doesn’t pretend to be something he’s not. His competitive fire sometimes comes off as being a bit of a dick, but he’s super smart and knows their profession is brutal at that level.
