Had a fly guy bragging to me the other day that he hasn't killed a fish in 30 years! Feel really bad for him missing out on all those fish tacos. I let most go but every trip I kill and grill a couple of trout, because that's what lifes all about!
@nikmar13382 жыл бұрын
Exactly man. I only take what I need. I’m not going to take a bunch of trout all at once. I’d rather go back to the lake and catch one when I want to eat one.
@bassntroutfishing2 жыл бұрын
That’s what it’s all about! Part of getting closer to nature is knowing where your food comes from and eating what you kill/catch

Watching this video and hearing you comment on how warm it was on that particular day really made me envious. It is currently twenty degrees in my corner of Maine with sleet and freezing rain falling from the sky. Spring and summer seem so far away.

Bruh this catch and cook was flat out epic! Gots to give ya mad props and smash the like on this one. Awesome channel dude, I love tuning in whenever I can’t get out on the water. Matter of fact, I watched this a DAY before my trout fishing trip and always did well on powerbait or spinners but nothing for 3 HOURS… until I remembered I had a RAPALA, never tried one before and remembered you slaying them in this video, FIRST CAST, hooked into a 3 pound rainbow. Keep at it dude, might post a couple of my catches from now on. If you ever find yourself in Las Vegas, Willow Beach Colorado River is the SPOT.

When they pull the drag that you lightened up a bit, put thumb on spool edge and slow the fish down. When you hear the line straining, lighten the thumb pressure. It helps tire the fish.

Beautiful fish on the outside but it looks like walleye on the inside. Or like you say chicken. Or are all the bows that white where you are. Ive never seen a rainbow with meat that white. Maybe its geography or possibly water temperature. I live in Canada and the trout here have meat that is much more red colour to the meat. Usually the more colour to the fillets the more tasty the fish. At least thats what Ive found in our neck of the woods.
