I dream I can work with these guys on building my custom dream bass at some point in my life. I just don't know how I'll ever have 7 grand to spend on a bass unfortunately

Let me keep playing the powerball to see if I can win and buy a Fodera
@stephenh.litman26846 жыл бұрын
If someone offered to donate a Fodera bass to me, my response would be: "Thank you so much. It will get played a lot". There's no doubt that Foderas are a pinnacle of instrument construction. Would I trade my favourite '62 and '65 Jazz basses for one? No thanks. Someday I WILL own a Fodera, though. As of today, I've never even seen one, and I've been a working bass player for 25+ years.

Then why are the nyc Jazz Bass made in Japan? And fall apart?
@gzarrukd10 жыл бұрын
I like their basses and the quality is great but I think they're way overpriced. You can get a better sounding bass for much less. Just my opinion though.

Scott Polston honestly I think it will , specially if is a bass perfectly confortable for you and if it keeps you so inspired and motivated to play and practice more in my humble opinion 🤷🏻♂️

Scott you are an idiot. These basses are amazing and play incredible and do make you play better. Hopefully you will get one and play better.

@@fanaticaldueling6337 all I’m saying is foderas are an amazing instrument and make me play better and put a smile on my face. I can play a squire also but it ain’t gonna play like a fodera. People that say this crap have never played a fodera.

Incredible instruments... But overpriced instruments. Maybe its the options that are available that hike the prices up to $12,000

Definitely over priced! They are nice instruments. If they moved out of New York their prices would definitely drop.

Fender basses! Are the best!
@Hi-xs7wm6 жыл бұрын
Totally agree.Fender is the mother of all basses . Leo Fender was a genius with a vision.Nowadays thousands of basses including highly expensive ''high end''stuff (they invented nothing) are based on the fantastic precision bass and the jazz bass sound. Today million of modern fast bass solos are based on one sound : Jaco's J. Fender bridge pick up . Fender Rules !! ♪

Fenders are boring and overpriced.
@enochkemokai19186 жыл бұрын
Craig Moran all you need is 4 strings! Alder/maple necks maple finger board are the best sounding bass! Aesthetically they are pleasing and better craftsmanship! Nothing sounds like a jazz bass or p bass
@craigmoran8936 жыл бұрын
@@enochkemokai1918If that was true people would only buy Fenders. The video obove proves what you think is rubbish.
@enochkemokai19186 жыл бұрын
Craig Moran fender inspired all other electric basses P and J style basses are the staple! standard! Distinctive sound! You can always tell a fender on a record! But you can never tell if a Fodera was used or not it does not have a sound that says Fodera! People are buying Fodera because people think because it is expensive! That means it’s better! More strings does not make a bass better E A D G is enough!

There's something about the sound of pretty much all fodera basses that's very repellent to me, I can't really place it though, maybe it's in my head...

I love the sound of their Standard basses especially Emperor Standard. The preamp on their standards are also different from their custom basses. Check this out kzbin.info/www/bejne/Z162i62ed6yhnqM

this bass is designed to be brighter (maple fingerboard). You can also criticise a Lamborghini for not being comfortable as a rolls royce. What sounds better for you can be worse for somebody else.
