great vid and find alec, that nightclub reminds me of a sad but true story here in ireland where i am, a nightclub called "the stardust" in artane, dublin which sadly burnt down in 1981 on valentines night. 200 people where killed that night because the firedoors where chained shut because the staff at the time found out people where getting in through them and where told by the manager of the night club to chain them shut when the fire broke out some couldnt get out luckly I wasnt in it that night but is a true story, that club looks so similar to "The Startdust" that was in dublin. Great find alec keep it up👍

Used to go there when I was a lad, got a few lumbers in there. The carpets were always sticky and it was never a ‘premium’ night club. Obviously as you can see it used to be a cinema - the BB cinema, then became a bingo hall in the 70’s and became Babylon night club in the late 90’s. It’s been demolished now and is just a patch of grass.

Had a few mad nights in there in the 90s lol. The upper floors were condemned back then although somehow the DJ booth was up there. They used to also have a couple of bouncers up there and one on the stage they could pretty much see everything. For a club, this place had brilliant lighting, although I remember one night there was a power cut and the whole place just went into blackness. Took a while to get everyone out. Think it closed around 2001/2002.

I remember working in that place when it was a bingo hall. Those seats in the balcony were there then and that was about 25 yrs ago. Interesting to see what it ended up like before it was demolished

I know this place! My parents and grandparents used to talk about this place being a nightclub and a cinema a long long time ago. So strange seeing these parts of the place that you always walk past and only ever see the remains from the outside trying to imagine what it was like before. Cool to see :)

used to frequent here alot back In the day. was an excellent venue man. Was massive but it died o death for some reason. shame, cracking building as well. Fun fact, the nightclub scene in the movie Sweet 16 with Martin Compston when he was a teen was filmed in this club.
