Partly because I have loved ones that can't understand the lyrics when hearing it, so I have to read it to them because they are doing something and can't watch the video. Or, for me personally, I have a difficult time following lyrics if they're just 1 or 2 lines at a time, like in lyric videos. But having all the lyrics laid out, like they are in this comment, helps me a lot

I never really understood this song before. And even though I don't know if this is what it means, this is what it means TO ME personally.... My fiancé and I have lost EVERYTHING we had, multiple times. Every time we've built up everything from scratch, always ripped away from us. But we always have each other, and the ability (and determination!) to do it again. As long as we're by each other's sides. That's what's important. Not the material things we lost.

But that's not true. At all. By the time I turned 18, I'd already been through more, and had more life experience, than most people have through their entire life. Your age doesn't restrict you from experiencing or understanding things 🖤 don't worry. (But, if you don't mind me asking, how old ARE you? Not judging, I'm just curious now lol) And what song is that from? ...... It's not from this one, is it?? I know I recognize it but I can't place it and I don't THINK it's from this one.... Right?? @@jellypanda7461 oh my GOD! I searched the line! No wonder it sounded familiar! Linkin Park! Ugh I used to listen to them every single day..... I still can't believe it about Chester.... I always was suicidal, since I was 6 or 7, and I always related deeply to Chester's parts in songs ... I never expected nor intended to live long enough to see adulthood, let alone my 20s and now being 30.... It's so surreal to know that I'm still here and he's not.... It's a very sobering feeling..... Also. If you like that kind of music.... If you haven't already, listen to Blue October. The singer is another one I relate to. And, funny enough, every single time I've started a new chapter in my life, it turns out Blue October had JUST released songs from the singer going through it right before I do. Every single time. But if you aren't familiar with Blue October, I suggest listening to Into The Ocean, and then Hate Me. Hate Me is written from him to his mother, about his drug addiction. And he wants her to finally hate him and leave him behind because all he does is hurt her, and he knows that until/unless she hates him, she will continue to always put him above herself. And he wants her to finally live for her. Even though he knows it means leaving him behind. I may be wrong, but I THINK she might have passed away before he was finally able to get clean and turn himself and his life around.... But then, listen to Fear, Home, and I Hope You're Happy. The last one is written to his ex wife.
