@@Nassault I see, I saw the two of them together and I find them interesting in their own way. The original one looked to have the tone of a propaganda video - like it was made to focus on Ustio's combat capability. Probably my favorite thing about this is that it’s an excellent new version of the older glatisant video, without invalidating the old one. One of my favorite things about the old one is how it overlaid the “peace conference” radio broadcast with the attack on glatisant, a juxtaposition reflecting the game timeline of how the war didn’t really end with Belka’s capitulation, the original captured that perfectly. The new video lays more focus on the defenders, showing us in much more detail the men on the ground. Bringing to our attention the very human nature of war and conflict. Updating the previous with new context. It honestly feels like the two videos could be different cuts from the same set of events, the newer one perhaps having access to “newly uncovered footage”

There’s a brilliant little detail at 2:15 - The Belkan soldier has a sunflower patch on his backpack. What I find so goddamn incredible about this video is that despite it basically covering the same events as Glatisant did years back, it feels like an entire different story and perspective. I find Glatisant to be one of your best works in almost every regard; pacing, storytelling and cinematography - and yet I can't reasonably compare it to this because it just is not the same thing. This doesn't feel like the "Better Glatisant". This is something entirely on its own and outstanding in every right. What I especially loved was how you've been playing around with some much more complex compositions. I know you do a lot of blending between games and media to put a shot together, but what really impressed me was the scope of the extended dolly shot 23 seconds in. It's something that I've seen done in your works before on smaller scales, but this one had several elements all across the scene that must have required much attention to perspective and composition. It isn't a perfect shot, and I can see the roughness around the edges with certain aspects, but it works regardless and looks stunning. It's really nice to see so much progression years later in your works. Also, the face on that Belkan infantryman seeing a whole wing of A-10's launching Maverick's fucking sent me. Belka moment.
