Bastl THYME+ multi-tap tape delay pedal. Tutorial and patch ideas with modular

Thyme+ is the updated version of the well-regarded tape-delay effects unit from Bastl Instruments. It takes the original Thyme and puts it into a new metal enclosure with better knobs and buttons, and more importantly adds a lot of new features in the firmware!
In this video I show how I combine Thyme+ with my modular setup using Neuzeit Warp as a voice to send audio directly into Thyme+ for mangling and processing. I also explain how Thyme+ works, and explore the ‘Robots’ which let you automate parameters on the effects. I’ll also look at MIDI control of Thyme+ to show how you can do Karplus-Strong synthesis with it.

​@@SynthDad@SynthDad I'm not really attracted to music heavily drenched in copious amounts of delay and reverb. I get that it's fun and somehow therapeutic to create. But it's too easy. When I was in art class in high school, every failed clay project became an "ashtray." If you were trying to create a cat sculpture and it exploded in the kiln, you made an ashtray. I see ambient music as the ashtray of electronic music. Processing a piece of source material with effects until it's completely unrecognizable doesn't take much craft. Or maybe I just haven't heard enough of the good stuff (Sturgeon's law). But I do appreciate Bastl's design and engineering!
