This is to commemorate the 80th Anniversary of the Japanese Invasion of the Philippines in December 1941.
I was supposed to use a Printer Cutter for the Coconut Tree Leaves but was almost SCAMMED by an online seller. Had to do them manually instead. :(
Special Thanks to Mr. Tony Feredo (Historical Adviser) and Dan MA (Japanese Uniform Adviser).
Dragon Kit Ha-Go Tank Hokuman Suspension 1/35.

Just seeing this September 17th 2021… I really like this… you don’t see any Japanese armor dioramas… I have a 1970 issue of the AURORA 1/48 Japanese tank… not a bad little kit… potential for a lot of DETAILS , ATLANTIS HOBBIES is going to reissue that kit at the end of 2021… this inspired me Lets see what happens????? GREAT JOB CHRIS

Great build and diorama..Amazing work on the tank and figures(including the pigs)👍 In Osprey books Japanese Tanks of WW2 it states that in the factory the base colour was sprayed on.Then the camo colours of green/earth brown was hand painted on and mainly freehand and with a rough guidance..No real set pattern for the green/brown..This left the workers to paint the tank to their own patterns..This would be slightly different depending on who’s on what shift..But it wouldn’t make each tank totally painted different..It would be easier for the workers and more productive to roughly do the same pattern style each time.E.G,one paints green patterns,the other brown.Both follow each other.But it didn’t matter if for example one tank the pattern was half over a hatch.The next tank the worker only went over quarter of the hatch.. The yellow stripe was painted to dazzle and quarter it’s appearance..Again this was applied with a broad brush.Hence the stripes thickness in most..The line had to cross at the top of the turret and go down the four sides of the tank in a ripple effect..But again as long as the workers followed this guidance they were free to interpret applying the ripple as they wanted..As long as it went down each side,rear and front.The worker was free to paint a line a jagged straight down or a curved river effect..

Next time, you can actually put track sag in those tracks. Put glue on them from below and use tissue rolled up and put in above to the hull. When removed, you get track sag.

Ivan, why do you dont paint the imperial flag? The sun in The middle of the flag without de rays is the actual Japan flag.
@IvanTheTerrible911
@IvanTheTerrible911 2 жыл бұрын
The flag with rays officially can be both seen as an Imperial "Navy" Identity and a "War Flag" itself but were not limited to these two. The only difference is the placement of the red circle. In addition, the sun with rays were Divisional Flags of the Army and were commonly raised and seen in Army Headquarters and camps. Japanese Flags with "only" the red symbol were ubiquitous and were commonly used as well. Historical dissertation including photos in the Archives of the Philippine War History showed evidence of Tanks with only the red rising sun symbol were used. i.e. (Valenzuela, Bulacan, /Philippines) 1942 Photo with an Army Officer on top of the tank observing. The scarcity of material were observed too as personal soldier flags "yosigeki hinomaru" aka Good Luck Flag were used as well. Hope this helps.

Hello Big Joe. By the time 4th and 7th Tank Regiments were pulled out from China and deployed to the Philippinesz tank crew regulations were loosely imposed up until as it neared the end in 1944. A few Photos specific to the bulacan province of the Philippines (Luzon Island) show that Tanks specific to Ha Go did employ tarps, stowages and what have yous. Google Search Term: Ha Go Tank Valenzuela Bulacan for better appreciation. Hope this helped. Thanks.
