I have 50+ days on the last years model at 164W, size 13 boot, at 250lbs. The waist width means that I almost never get any toe/heel drag unless I am really leaning it over. Good torsional flex and good pop even if you are outside the recommended weight range. As mentioned, buttering this board takes some work due to the stiffness at the nose and tail. The 3bt makes a noticeable reduction in edge catchiness for buttering. Not the best board for carving and not good in powder but it is very good at everything else.

did you actually take this board to the backcountry? 3/10 for powder seems pretty low compared to what other people have to say about this board in powder

What are the pro and cons of running the Atlas vs Strata vs Ultra on this board. Which would you recommend for resort surfy riding and medium jumps.

Shadowban or Goliath if I might advance from intermediate to advanced? I have the whole season... I like to play but I also like to go crazy and fast as soon as I feel content. Same with scooter.

Chuck has been waiting on a goliath review. How torsional flex work on the mountain? I bet it takes a bit to get edge to edge
@BoardArchive3 ай бұрын
it takes a bit more but it also happens faster. also helps keep you nice and locked in through some chop

Does anyone know how this board compares to the bataleon beyond medals? I’m torn between the two for my next all mountain ripper

just watched the bataleon disaster review from 2 years ago, tj hasnt gained a pound and went from a disaster 151 to a goliath plus 158W in 2 years

I don't always get my ideal size sent out for review, and sometimes have to ride what I'm able to get my hands on. My ideal size for most boards is still around 154 or 155, but I do enjoy a couple cm bigger for all-mtn boards or smaller for pow shapes/volume shift

anyone here use 3BT on the ice coast? seems like i'd like it but worried it'd be shit out of good conditions

Its not for me but instead of asking others you should definitely just demo it.

3bt is really bd for groundtricks TJ, when the japanese do groundtricks, there is a lot of technique that requires edge control and edge control and 3bt makes it harder to control lol

@@_-0_x_-_p_0-_ I have rode, three bataleon board before lol, evil twin, Goliath and disaster. If you actually are not so narrow minded maybe just maybe your world of snowboarding would be a lot better. Or maybe you just too lazy to do any research at all on snowboards from east to west. There are millions of brands, did you take you time to deep dive into them? I think I know the answer, it is no hahahaha cause I have. Level 3 aasi instructor and boards are a really fun and interesting topic that no way really talks about these day. There are so many types of riding styles out there and some boards are just made for a specific style. So for the love of god, please get out of your shell a bit more and explore the snowboard culture and not just half ass it

@@ernestlin2052 maybe you just suck
@_-0_x_-_p_0-_3 ай бұрын
@@ernestlin2052 apparently you aren’t good enough to control a 3BT board. It doesn’t mean they’re bad for “ground tricks”
@ernestlin20523 ай бұрын
@@_-0_x_-_p_0-_ when you have to use extra strength on torsional flex the board for your edges on your nose and tail to hold and generate power and rebound, that indicates bad design, the 3BT is meant for spinning flat and that’s it and that’s all it can achieve but if you want to improve in groundtricks it’s a bad bad brand to use.
