His switch tricks were on point in this game. There weren’t many but his switch flip and heels were perfect, also switch inward heel. He doesn’t do a lot of switch in contests cause he’s probs less confident with them but he’s really good but he is far from just a regs guy (Gustavo Ribeiro does, and has won, entire contests skating solely regs, which is infuriating how they don’t dock points properly). I’m sure he’ll continue to improve his switch and nollie though.

the way i see it, being the ref is a customary thing. a privilege of sorts. if the ref isn't a decisive person, or is not sure of what a make or not is, he can have help. ive seen little ass kids as the ref before.

A referee is really an appointed judge of sport who is responsible for knowing, following and enforcing the rules and making calls accordingly and they shouldn't have anyone dictating or guiding their judging. Tyler was telling Holt what calls to make seemingly unasked for and this shouldn't happen. If someone is an indecisive person, is not sure of what a make is or not and needs or wants help they shouldn't be a referee in the first place.
