Yeah but at the same time I definitely feel like peak Luan was done a few years ago. Even in the last BATB it seemed like his flatground game was slacking a bit and it seems like that’s still the case this time around. I don’t think we’re gonna get to see him skate a legendary game like his championship battle vs Joslin. Same thing applies for more than a few guys that used to be at the top of these BATB competitions, another one right off the top of my head is Chris Cole.

​@@frozennorth3426I just slowed it down and in this video, he does it where his back foot kicks the bottom of the board with the heel. Andy bounced the board back using the grip tape on the top of the front foot if I'm not mistaken... more of a toe thing. It's funny, everything about the tricks is opposite, but yes, both cancels I guess. They call it an "ollie kickback" in both instances but they are clearly different tricks. I think THIS one should be a kickback and Andy's should be a cancel or hospital thingy.

Luan was the perfect match for the Legion of Doom... I'm really proud of Luan as a representative of Brazil on skateboarding. The way he handled taking a game like this is the way skateboarding obviously is and should be: taking having fun extra seriously to the point of being up for trying any crazy stupid trick for the sake of doing it, not of competing or attending viewer rules or expectations. There are several golden moments in this game, from Luan pulling off a MAJESTIC kickflip indy and then turning it up to fakie even, to him totally willing to do the primo slide even when the ref says no, to him death blowing the hole team with a casual fs 360 heel with that crazy "oh yeah? watch me" smile on his face. I have a list of games from BATB that were awesome to watch, but man... this was an instant favourite
