I have done everything you said and I can’t get any power to the batblock

The wiring kit does not seem to come with the blue ignition wire? At least not in the store page photos. I can not see this wire sold separately either. More information about supplying this wire needs to be added.

Hi Marcus, It comes with the BatBlock and also includes the 3 pin plug

Hi Andrew, great video! I have the same car so it’s perfect. If I have the old Kings battery box, could I follow this guide and connect to a DCDC charger, then to the plugs in my old Kings battery box?
@AdventureKingsАй бұрын
Hi there, Absolutely, they'd work more or less the same, though you'd have to substitute out your cabling appropriately. We do have a tutorial video for installing a DCDC onto a battery box too, which might be worth a check as well! Regards, Andrew

Hi, is it really necessary to use blue wire? Can i use the batblock without that blue wire to power fridge only? Only using red and blue wires?
@AdventureKings4 күн бұрын
Hi there, I can advise that the blue cable is only necessary if you intend on charging via the alternator, if you wont be looking at using that function in future you can skip that installation. Regards, Andrew

@ Thanks for promt reply. I do intend to charge via alternator. I have tried to find the ignition fuse but unable to find. I have tried both inside and outside fuse boxes. I found 3 fuses which do not lit on every 3 steps as said in the video. The rest lits on one another. What should i do?

I would like to know how you are going to mount the batblock to the floor at the rear of the vehicle? There are limited tiedown points in the Pajero Sport.
@AdventureKingsАй бұрын
Hi there, While mounting in the back end is optional, we've seen a few different solutions, ranging from installing their own tiedown points, to a stabiliser tray, really depends on what you're looking to achieve and the tools to hand. Regards, Andrew

Hello can i connect my solar panel straight to the batbox with a 6m extension lead ,or do i still need a MPPt regulator between panel and box to charge it.
@AdventureKings11 күн бұрын
Hey Dan, The DCDC charger built into the BatBlock has an MPPT already so you're all good! You can connect your solar + lead directly. Cheers, Cahn

Hi there, I have a Triton 2020 and i wanted to install my Batblock, its fine if i dont install without the ignition wiring?
@AdventureKings5 күн бұрын
Hi there, While this may stop the unit from charging via the alternator, for set ups using predominantly solar charging this would be fine. Regards, Andrew

I have a 2022 sr5 and have installed this system but without the ignition wiring will this be a big issue?

hi my 80 series hasnt got a smart alternator can i use pos and negative wire only on the 3 connector plug or does it need ign input
@AdventureKings19 күн бұрын
Hi there, While I unfortunately cant provide a full set up due to character limit, on the batblock's store page under the specs tab we have the manual available that details installation on to non-variable voltage (smart) alternators that would worthwhile checking out. Regards, Andrew

does the isolator switch need to be on to charge via solar panel ?
@AdventureKings22 күн бұрын
Hi there, You will need the isolator switch on, as if the isolator is off this cuts off any power going to the battery. Regards, Courtney

Price wise how does this compare to a battery hard wired into the car? I have a NW Pajero so the option of the battery in the back where the 3rd row hides away, or under the bonnet, yes I know heat could be a thing.
@AdventureKings25 күн бұрын
In all honesty it depends on what you're looking at, as you would need a battery for the battery block, the benefits of the batblock is that it gives you a platform you can plug everything into that's easier and more accessible when trying to get them in and out of the vehicle. Regards, Andrew

Could anyone please explain how the ignition wire makes charging more efficient for standard alternators? I know it is recommended, but exactly how does it improve charging? Seeing mixed reviews online, and some people seem to have their 2nd battery charge just fine without an ignition wire with a standard alternator. TIA
@AdventureKingsАй бұрын
Hi there, The efficiency moreso comes from being able to better read vehicle power state, as without it the unit will be active continuously and can discharge the starter while stopped, so we recommend it to ensure you get the most from your system with the smallest hassle. Regards, Andrew
@karldudzinski2460Ай бұрын
It doesn't make it more efficient.. it will stop the car charging the battery when the car is switched off.
@hummusenthusiast415Ай бұрын
@@karldudzinski2460The DCDC charger does this already if you have a regular alternator. That's only relevant if you've got a smart alternator on newer cars.
@karldudzinski2460Ай бұрын
@hummusenthusiast415 Yeah, that's the ignition wires purpose with newer alternators
@hummusenthusiast415Ай бұрын
@@karldudzinski2460 yeah so my original question.... What's is its function with older alternators if you already have the DCDC charger in place?
