I live with my father and am away three days a week for work. I cook on Monday several meals ahead so he has food ready to eat. Batch cooking is great!

Until recently I lived alone, so one pound of anything would give me 4 servings. Now I have my son staying with me, I always cook double, and we always have enough for lunch the next day, giving us a warm lunch and not just sandwiches. I unplug my oven/range and cook on a wood stove most of the winter. Thank you for your video!

Hi Jane and Michael 🤗 Fabulous recipes as usual - that lime sauce looks divine😋 I love food/meal prep - we like to do this 2x a week and then just heat and eat. We do a lot of bike riding now that Spring has finally arrived in Ontario Canada plus we still work full-time and like to tend to our garden so this saves so much time and money.

Jane. I love to batch cook and mainly for time but also so we have healthy home cooked meals all the time. I make big batches of soup with produce from the allotment and we take them to work for lunches. Plus I make up ‘ready meals’ like bean chilli and rice or cous cous for evening meals. I always thank my former earlier self for thinking ahead. I love your videos. Thank you. They’re so inspiring. I love your creamy spicy zesty sauce. Will definitely be giving that a try.

Great vlog again. I love batch cooking. I love the thought of filling the freezers with meals i can just pull out and reheat quickly when times short. Yesterday i made 2 portions of chicken curry, 2 portions of sweet & sour prawns ( king prawns from a too good to go bag) and 6 portions of lasagne ( mince & veg from same TGTG bag from a Spar store not far from me. Today im collecting 2 beef casserole ready meals and 2 cartons of fresh mushroom soup from a lady on Olio so 4 more useful things for the freezers. The ready meals ill pimp up with extra veg, yorkshire pud etc and one of the soups is to go in with some chicken to make chicken & mushroom pies later this week. Love to you both❤

I have been batch cooking for quite a few years. This past week I made Moroccan chicken, chicken paprikash and enough spaghetti sauce for 5 meals. I don’t mind cooking, but I don’t want to do it daily. Today I’m cooking a large ham for Easter dinner, so there will be quite a large amount left over for more dinners this coming week.

Just about to make some broth . Bacon lardons carrots - turnip - broth mix - veg stock cubes - leeks I make it thick enough to stand a spoon in ! Ha ! My grandma used to say put everything in but the dish clout ! Ha ! It'll probably make about 10 serving . Then have it with dumplings . Yum ! Hope you both well. My knees aren't too good today so having an at home day . Soo annoying when I'm used to being out and about 🥺 and it's a lovely sunny day here today. So no excuse not to keep busy in the house . Plenty of cleaning to do and pottering about .Will plod on with what I can do ☺️

when needed, or just because it's tasty, you can stretch the budget a little bit further by adding rice to the chili and meatballs. Cooked for the meatballs, raw or cooked for the chili - depending on how much liquid you've added and how long it will simmer. of course, that doesn't work for the carb sensitive.

I don’t cook the entire week at once. I do “cook once; eat thrice”. So one day I make lunch soups and salads and cook the dinner and dessert. We are set for three days. We waste nothing and buy specific to meal plan, post pantry assessment, for 2 weeks at a time. So it is kinda batch cooking. I should find a way to do a freezer meal simultaneously and then cook once every 6 days!
