Hurts my heart knowing that I’m learning this stuff to make a living for my family and I consider all of it to be mildly difficult but every video I come across is made by a kid 12-13 years old. These kids are going places

When I was 10 years old I stumbled across this tutorial series. I pretty much didn't understand English back then (cause it's not my native language) but I watched the whole series and started to writing simple scripts based on your videos. And after around 6 years, I just wanted to thank you for my entire programming knowledge as of today, cause everything started with this one video. I hope you are doing well today

@SwordsmasterMarth In the video, the scripting language we are using is Batch scripting. It's not a programming language. But I do use programming languages such as VB.NET and C# so that I can make GUI-based applications. I can also code websites in HTML and CSS.

this comment may of been 4 years ago but... even I know this stuff, I started learning cmd scripting (batch files) when I wanted to make a basic DDoS script (ping a server X kB/s) and I found it easy to understand and fun to script with, I try to get into c++ and other similar languages but I cant remember the syntax and all the commands.

You should also go to folders options and select show extensions of known file types. That way you always see the extensions of the files you are working with. If they are hidden, it makes it very hard to see if it was actually saved as a .bat or .txt file.

I Highly suggest Notepad++, it uses BATCH as well, and even highlights certain commands, making it much easier :)
