RIP and with all respect. However, when you say that you need to be in Cameroon and you need to know Cameroon to write about Cameroon, I object. James Hadley Chase lived in the UK and never visited USA. All his novels were based in USA. He wrote with very accurate descriptions. Surely his books sold more than yours. He wrote dozens of books. Then, there was no internet. All he used was reference books and maps. I respect you, and may you RIP, but it is not about home. Passion is passion. So whatever you wanna write about, you just need the passion.
