I’ve been coming back to this video for about 4 years now, and I always read through the comments, even though I’ve read them all before. When I was a kid, my mom would want my sister and I to sleep with her sometimes, so my sister would sleep in the middle of the bed and I’d sleep on the left facing the bathroom wall. I remember waking up to it being pitch black outside while my mom got ready for work. She’d leave the door cracked and the light in the bathroom was warm and yellow just like the video. The sound of her taking a shower would give me tingles and put me back to sleep. I also used to go inside the bathroom and sit on the lid of the toilet while she showered. I would bring my knees up to my chest and use a towel to wrap around myself. That plus the steam, plus the sound of the water was the most comforting thing in the world.

One of my favourite things as a child was listening to the sound of a bath running. My dad used to work nights and he would always shower before he left for work but sometimes he would have a bath, particularly during the winter months. When he said he was having a bath, I would rush to get cosy in bed. My sister and I shared a room which was next to the bathroom and my bed was against the wall with the bath on the other side. Whenever my dad took his bath it would sound just like this through the wall. I would get into bed and snuggle up to the wall as close as possible. I would get tingles across my body and slowly drift off to sleep listening to the bath filling.

I was Adopted into a large family of Boys aged 8 along with my 3 sisters the Mother and Father only wanted girls so I can along with the package .. never felt wanted or loved My escape was to start the bath running slowly then get in the Airing Cupboard which was in the bathroom amongst all the Towels and Blankets next to the Emersion Heater . The warmth from the Airing Cupboard along with the sound of the bath running gave me the comfort I needed to get through the day... Thanks for this .. I put this on at night or when I have had a tough day.. At 63 now it still brings back that warm feeling xx

High school was a thoroughly dismal place, and home was a true mine field, so I used my time in the bathroom to huddle contentedly next to the old tub early every weekday morning. I would get up at 6 am, drag myself to our family tub room, and crawl under the old clawfoot wit my fav blanket, my savior when stressed. Turning on the spigots very slow, I could relax to the slow rumble of water and dream in a warm nest while fortifying myself for the day ahead, getting my chills & goozebumps. I still do this, but at night after a long day, and it always gives me peace.

I sit in my car most days for my hour dinner break and put this on as it’s normally freezing where I live ; my car has heated seats so it’s so easy for me to relax listening to this. As a kid I have early memories of love listening to a bath run early hours of the morning or late at night even a sound of a kettle boiling gave me an amazing feeling of warmth and comfort

We are a special breed of people, those of us who love the sound of the running bath water! I read all of your comments and its as if I wrote almost all of them. My experiences are the same. Loved to lay next the running bath tub. Loved to be in the room next to the bathroom and listen to family run their baths. Chills would come over me. Such a safe feeling. A feeling of being in the moment. This video/audio helps to bring back some of those feelings/emotions and memories. Not quite the exact same, but still a welcomed feeling. I listen often while working and sleeping. reading everyone's comments lets me know I am not alone in these types of memories. And that is a comfort in and of itself!

I really want to think there is more here than just the coincidence of shared memories, ‘returning to the womb’. We all seem to enjoy reading & re-xperiencing the chills, the calm, the triggering of memories of safety, always using this sound/sight of running water ( waterfalls, washing machines, bathtubs) to help relieve anxieties of youth, adulthood. Perhaps this is a return to some mysterious Primeval, a great unknown, where you can hide under a simple towel, yet feel protected, warm & truly at peace. Bliss.

Even still at 36 yrs old, when I run a bath I lay my towel on the floor, get totally nakey, get onto my knees and basically curl into a ball and cover myself completely with my soft warm robe so I’m in my own little warm fort and just listen as the tub fills with hot water. I’ve been doing that since I was probably 3-4 yrs old. It’s the most comforting feeling I’ve ever experienced to this day. It’s a sure fire way to put me to sleep as well. I’m glad I am not the only one who finds complete and total solace in doing that!

I've been using this video to relax and sleep for at least 3 years now, maybe longer. I hadn't realised how many views it's gotten since then! How many of those 1.4M (as of my writing this) are from me, I wonder? 😆 I love that people have started sharing their memories of listening to the bath fill in the comments, and figured I would add mine to the growing list! It seems a lot of people curled up on the ground (either directly or on a towel-- I used a soft bath mat!) under their bath towels, which I did as well. I would also nestle myself into the linen closet (which my parents begrudgingly allowed me to do, but not the cats... but I would let the cats in when I was in there anyway 🤫🤭), which had this wonderful smell to it-- the scent of fresh bed sheets and laundry detergent mixed with this very subtle mustiness that wouldn't seem out of place in a library. Combine it with the sound of thundering water echoing through the bathroom (which would sound a lot like this video when coming through the closet doors!), and the warmth and safety of the cat(s) purring next to me... as a kid, I thought nothing was better. To this day, those moments are still some of my favourite memories, even though I'm 29 years old writing this, and it's been a little while since I was small enough to fit into the linen closet 😅. A huge thank you to uploader for making this video, and to everyone in the comments who contributed their own cosy story. Comments sections on YT are seldom this pleasant to read :)

I’ve been listening to this particular video for about 6 years now. I remember it was only about a year old when it came out and only had 300k views or something like that. I have a bunch of different videos I use in rotation, but this is the best one out of all of them. The one I always come back to. For me, this sound was a feeling of security for me as a child. Especially on weekends, when I knew I wouldn’t have to wake up early for school. I’d hear my parents and older siblings getting up for work and the sound of the bathtub running always woke me up. But that was okay, because I would just snuggle into my warm blanket and smile, knowing I would be allowed to sleep in for longer than usual. As I got older, I got really obsessed with using different bath bombs and stuff. Just something about taking off all my clothes, wrapping up in a towel and sitting by the tub while I waited for the warm water to fill up. It was heaven. Just feeling the cold tiles on my skin with the anticipation of finally submerging my body in the hot water… goosebumps! Every time! I honestly thought I was the only one. So I was shocked to find this little community on KZbin with so many people who share similar feelings and experiences. My favorite thing to do while listening to these videos are reading each and everyone’s comments. Just adds and extra layer of comfort to the whole experience. Anyway, hope everyone is having a great night.

When I was a child my bedroom was next to the bathroom and there was also a hot water tank in a cupboard in my room. My dad would come home after work and I'd already be in bed as it was late, but I'd wait for him to start running his evening bath. I always felt so cosy and warm in bed listening to the sound of running water along with the sounds from the hot water tank, it always made me feel so relaxed I'd fall asleep instantly. When I have trouble sleeping this is my go to video. 😊

Same setup for me, except there was room enough in the closet for me to get inside. The muffled running water, sounds of the hot water tank, the water flowing in the pipes and warmth from the heater created the most calming and secure place on earth. I would wrap up in a blanket and sometimes fall asleep, my parents thought I was a weirdo, but I loved it.

My bedroom as a kid was opposite the bathroom door on the landing. Whenever someone took a bath I would go and lay down on the landing carpet outside the door and feel the warmth of the pipes through the floor as I lay there. Listening to the sound of the bath filling and wishing the sound to never end. Chills on my body but the warmth from the carpet heated by the water pipes. I never forget those times and it still stay with me today.

Although there are better videos now, I still like this one and reading the comments 👍🏼 I was staying at a hotel about a year ago and went down to their pool which was pretty much empty most of the time and was indoors, it had a man made water full at one end and a hot tub next to it, the sound of the water was amazing, after being in the pool for a while I laid a towel down on a lounger and laid down and put another towel on top of me, it was a cold day outside but was so warm inside, so cozy and warm and soothing I was there for about an hour in the corner by the pool we need times like that in our hectic lives ! 👍🏼😁

I grew up in India where most homes do not have bathtubs and people just take showers or fill a bucket and use a mug to shower. I used to have a large bucket that I would fill everyday for my bath. I would sit on a little plastic stool in front of the bucket and enjoy the sounds of the water from the faucet filling the bucket. This video gives me the same goosebumps and feelings I experienced as a little kid watching her bucket fill. Especially on cold mornings before school. I would get goosebumps all over my body and the occasional drops of water splashing on my skin gave me the tingles. I wish I could relive those stress free moments & feel the same safety I did under my towel. Now as an adult, I have anxiety and depression and this video gives me a break for that feeling and helps me relax. Thank you to the creator. You have no idea how much I appreciate this video and I hope you are blessed with the best in life ❤

I am too from India and I have the exact same story, as a kid waiting for the plastic bucket to fill while sitting on commode hypnotized by the reverberation of sound in the bathroom. My rickshaw would come to take me to school and I would have 30-45 mins to get ready but I didn't want to leave that sound, so I would try to enjoy as much as possible in the time I had. Now I am an adult missing those days. Happy to see there are others like me.

In our bathroom we were fortunate enough to have a bath and a shower. When I was little, I used to sneak into the bathroom whenever my mom was taking a bath, and I'd crawl into the shower where I'd make some kind of towel fortress. Then I'd either just sit there, or read a kid's magazine. The heater would be on, the lights would be just as warm as in the picture above, but slightly darkened in the shadowed corner of the shower. Thank you so much for making and sharing this video.

Not exactly a bath, but my husband loves taking long hot showers, especially on the weekends in the morning. I will sometimes bring a pillow and a couple of throw blankets in, and take a 30 minute nap on the floor 😌 sometimes I'll use my blow dryer to warm my body at the same time until I can't keep my eyes open any longer 😴 The sound of the water and white noise, the steam, all of it is amazing. In those moments, I experience the ultimate comforting feeling of safety and peace. I'm always sad when he wakes me up, and I'll sometimes beg him to get back in the shower lol

I had a down comforter I’d bring in and wrap around me and lay like a fetus so unbelievably content and feeling so safe and calm and at total peace. This one is special--the quality of the sound is superb. My bath sound story is similar to others and is one of my strongest memories from childhood...as a little girl in the late 70's my parents took baths every night and when one of them got up from their easy chair and made their way to the bathroom to start the bath, I wasn't far behind! Mom always went first so I knew I could stay in the room until the last second.. The floor was marble and so the resonance from the water filling the tub was so perfect! Like others, I took a couple bath towels from the cupboard and used one for my pillow and the other for my blanket or sometimes my mat.. I remember the very 70's looking clock on the wall and looking at it as the tub filled..goosebumps on goosebumps..the chill of the marble floor and the warmth of the towel, the smell of mom's bubble bath..when she came in and got in the bath she would hum a tune as she swished the water around..I laid with closed eyes and listened intently to the water..always the water...thundering, splashing, tinkling away.. I begged her to let some out so it could continue to run..once in a while she did : ).

Every time I listen, I get instant chills and am immediately taken back to my family home. Oddly, we had carpet on our bathroom floor but it made running a bath that much more cosy. I’d even slow the taps down a bit to make the moment last as long as it could. I remember various things from covering my head with a towel to occasionally lightly covering my ears to muffle the sound and laying down next to the bath almost in a meditative state (or whatever the equivalent is for a child/teen) I was also lucky enough to share a wall with the bathroom, my bed was against this wall so I could snuggle deep into my bed with full head to toe chills and the safest of feelings whenever my mum or dad took a bath or shower. Everything about this video/visuals/audio is just * chefs kiss * FYI - it’s taken me forever to write this comment because I’ve enjoyed reliving the memory so much!

Growing up, nothing felt better than hearing someone run a bath or shower since my room was next to the bathroom, the tub at about where the head of my bed met the wall. The sounds of the bath and shower through the wall were and are the quickest way to give me this warm, comforting tingling feeling that makes me want to curl up under a blanket and relax. Bless!

Yes, that was the same for me as a child, my bed was on the other side of the wall from the bath and it sounded great from there! There's something special about that sound when you can hear the water run, but you are not directly exposed to the sound, or the water, because you are in the next room. It's a bit like being in a car or a tent when it's raining, you can hear the rain landing on the roof, but your hair isn't getting wet!

This is the highlight every time I take a bath when I don't feel well, especially in those cold winter months. The moment the hot water hits the tub and the bathroom becomes all steamy, I recline in the tub, close my eyes and wait for the hot water to slowly rise and cover my body. As a kid I used to take long baths and often pulled the plug to let the tub drain halfway just so I could turn the water back on and listen to this wonderful sound again.

I had trouble waking up for years but one of my favourite things to do is 6:00am wake up, cover the bathroom windows so the room is blacked out and lay on the cold floor with a towel over me listening to the shower/bath run. It must stem from bedtime as a kid my mom would run a bath and I could hear it from my room. My morning routine couldn’t be better, it’s funny how the strangest things make us feel good.

reading all these comments has really relaxed me so i thought i'd leave my experiences in here too - now i've always preferred the sound of a bath to a shower but both were equally chilling!! my dad would shower at nights because he'd have to be up much earlier than all of us whilst my mum got up about an hour before waking me and my sibling up for school. If i was lucky, i'd wake up just before she did and then i'd be able to enjoy the start of her running her bath but once i caught onto the fact that i really enjoyed the sound of the water running, i ended up using her as my personal alarm clock and she'd get me up every morning to listen to the bath fill. The sound was sooo similar to this and it really soothed me. I'd take my entire duvet and sit next to my radiator which by then was only a bit warm since it wouldn't of been long since the heating turned on, and i'd wrap myself up in it completely and then lie down, sometimes only peeking my eyes through a small hole to get a look of the darkness surrounding the one light coming through the door frame. Once it was running you could hear all the pipes in the house go and it was so soothing. A lot of the time, i'd sit without anything wrapped round me so that i'd get pretty cold and have goosebumps all over before throwing a warm towel or duvet onto me to warm up. When i was much younger though, about 5, i remember how i would lay down next to the bathtub itself with my favourite blanket and sit half asleep next to it while my mum would fix me up some warm milk.

I grew up in Yemen and this sound of running water always give me goosebumps and relaxation. I remember when we would run out of water and we go to neighbor's we would fill a bucket with faucet water and it has the same sound, it gave me comfort and nostalgia that until now I go to bath room and I like to switch on water on bathtub to get this sound so I relax. also sound of water in general is soothing feeling especially rain as I remember my mom would leave our home for shopping or buying stuffs and me and my siblings wait on windows and water is running. I am happy I am sharing this feeling many, I thought I have this feelings only :D

This is the best one I’ve ever found. Thank you so much for this. When I was little I used to wake up early when my mom would get a bath and I would lay next to the bath tub. I’d fold a towel for my head and cover myself with another towel and press my ear to the ground to hear the heavy water running through the pipes. It would put me right to sleep and I’d be at complete peace. To this day anytime someone takes a bath or shower I get in bed and try to fall asleep before they’re done. The only problem is knowing they won’t be in there all night. Thank you for replicating this!

I like to look out into the darkness and let the cool air touch my skin. I get a profound sense of peace and safety, and the chills and shivers are huge. The water must be run slowly so I can make my alone time last. Then when I am totally chilled I slip into the hot bath while the water continues to run. Pure heaven.

I love to run a bath and lay on the mat next to it, relaxing as it fills. The warm, steamy water crashing in the bathtub sprays a light mist that gently lands on my skin while I feel the low, heavy vibrations of water filling rumbling through the smooth floor tiles. The sensation of the soft, fluffy fabric from the bath mat touching under my torso and my limbs resting on the cold, chilly floor tiles below in contrast to the slight heat radiating from the warm bathroom lights in the ceiling above washing everything over in a gentle amber-gold colour gives me goosebumps. Thinking of how my chilled skin craves the comforting embrace of the warm, soothing bathwater feels like home. Sincerest gratitude ❤️🙏

One of my earliest memories is at my first ever flat in London, where my mum would run me a bath every night and I would curl up on the bath matt next to it with a big towel over me and my ear to the ground so I could feel the water running as well as hear it. Words really can't describe the sheer nostalgia and feeling of absolute serenity which that memory brings to me! I've been a bath addict ever since haha however somehow none are quite as special as that first one...I think its something to do with the acoustics of the room. This and your other videos are the closest I've ever come to that exact sound...I wonder if you live in my old house?lol Anyways many thanks for videos and all the amazing comments which take me back to those moments while I listen to the wonderful water❤

Whenever a bath was run I'd lay down a towel next to the tub, fold another towel as a pillow, then lay down and cover myself with a third towel, pretend I was in a cave, all safe and sound, press my ear up against the bath, while blocking my other ear off, and feel the sound of the running water reverberate through my body, sometimes peak through the small patch of light near my feet, like the entrance to a cave far away, sometimes rest my arm out on the cold tiles on the floor or the side of the bath, I await the one who has done the same...

I came to this sound a little later in my life than other’s commenting here. I used to take long trips over the road with my dad. He was a hobbyist who bought and sold older classic cars. And I was designated “chase driver” as we jokingly called it. Often we’d get a cheap hole in the wall motel for overnight stays before he picked up the car and signed final paperwork and title. Dad liked to get up super early on the return trip day and I liked to stay in bed a bit longer. So many times I slowly woke up while still relaxing while listening to my dad take his shower with the door to the bathroom cracked about as wide as you see in the picture above. Anticipating the drive back home with a new(old) car. Sometimes having to tinker with something for an hour or two to coax it to start up. Usually it was an old Studebaker or British MGB we were after. Knowing about noon that we’d stop at a local Dairy Queen along the way for a burger and shake. But for the moment in the early morning, just enjoying the sounds of water running. Good times.

We had a huge old clawfoot cast iron tub when I was a kid. On bath night I would set the tap to just the right water volume and then wrap up in a towel and sit next to the tub on the floor with my back against a wall and listen to the drumming of the water in the tub as it filled. Every once in a while a droplet of water splashed on my skin which increased the tingles. Sometimes in the fall/winter at bath time I would open the window on a crack to get the cool air on my skin while I looked out into the darkness. The tingles were massive and once I was fully chilled I would close the window and either get into the tub to warm up or sit back onto the floor until my bath was ready. Like many of you, I get the tingles just reading everyone's account of their experiences.

I used to lay under our old tub, rumbling water faucet on slow, wrapped in my fav binky, chills and goozebumps from top of head to toe. The dark shadow of the tub fell over me, so that I felt hidden, safe in a warm nook, under the slowly filling tub. The chills rolled up and down my body in waves, and a meditative state from the roaring water put me in a trance, over and over so I never wanted it to end.

For some reason I loved being half warm and half cold and I’d even use the spray bottle to spray water over my back to create even more tingles. I wonder if this sensation from the sound of the water, curling up, and in complete darkness comes from the safe feeling of being in the womb? Amazing video thank you so much 🙏💖

When I was a boy, my mother use to bathe in the tub each night and my brothers and I were on a perpetual rotation as to who'd get the residual water to conserve on utilities. Oddly, my father never cared for it, and fancied, instead, sitting on his porcelain throne for HOURS reading a veritable library of books without succumbing to leg numbness but, I digress. My brothers would play around 'til called but, I really enjoyed sitting there on the other side of curtain and staring at the wallpaper while listening to the tub fill and feeling the radiating heat. This was welcome.

Similar experiences as everyone else, childhood, warm, goosebumps, safe. I remember I had a tape recorder and put it up against the wall right next to the the tub to get that deep rumbling sound. I played that tape until it wore out!

Thank you so much for creating this video. I've been listening to your other bath filling video to fall asleep for months and it has really helped me. This sound reminds me of being a kid and waking up early in the morning in the bitter cold and a warm bath was the only source of heat... Thank you so much for bringing this back. This video and your previous bath filling outside the bathroom video have literally become a part of my life, Its something I listen to everyday. As a side note, I love the reverb/muffled vibration the most in the sound and hence I prefer this one over all the other sounds in the 15 mins videos. I'm planning to buy better speakers just for this! Thanks!

If you're reading this comment, then most likely, like myself, you get an extra bump of warmth and enjoyment from reading people's memories and stories along with listening to the video , and also most likely you have read and re read all the comments and know all the stories If you've got this far, then help out people like us and reply with your own personal memories or stories or reasons why you enjoy listening to these videos, I'll go first I have been listening to these videos for a fair few years now and its really the only thing that can help me get sleep, I usually have a lot of problems with sleep due to mental health problems - I always try and use other methods first and use this as a last resort, just afraid that it will lose its power of I use it too much! This particular video is my favourite as for many years of my childhood bedroom was a small room that shared a wall with the main bathroom and my bed was pressed against that wall, so every night I got to listen as my parents and old sister all in turn ran and eventually.emptied their bath, and every time I would snuggle tighter into my duvet and pillow getting full body tingles When it was my turn to have a bath earlier in the day I remember always curling up in my towel that has been hanging on the radiator getting warm, and laying beside the bath as it filled, feeling occasional splashes on my face whilst also getting the warmth from the towel around me and the radiator against my back, all the while my ears being treated to the thunderous rumble as the water filled the bath - to this day I still enjoy at the very least being in the bathroom as the bath fills, better yet laying in towel bed alongside the tub, feeling the weight of everything else in my life falling away and the only thing filling my mind is warmth, comfort and tingles

I totally agree with you and have done the same things while I was growing up, and even as an adult. I think we tend to think we are the only ones in the world that have thought and felt this way, when in fact there are so many of us out here that love the same things. I am a widow now and I often thought how great it would be to have a man (who felt as I do) to wrap his arms around me while we enjoy the sounds and sights of the water filling the tub. I do miss a lovely warm hug, but to have it all in a hug plus the sounds of water would just be heaven on earth. The tingles, security, and peace would be like no other. I am curious, do men feel the same way?

@@pjr7754I am so sorry for your loss. I can not imagine. Yes, men definitely feel the same way. I used to run a bath as a child and would lay a towel down and put one over my head to hear the deep rumbling of the water. The cold tile on a dark fall/winter morning still gives me chills thinking about it. I am a tugboat Captain now and I listen to this when I am not operating the boat and trying to nap. Trying not to get nervous about who is driving while I’m asleep😊. The idea of snuggling with a woman while listening to the water only adds to the feeling of coziness and security

I would love to run a bath, rapped in a towel sat on a towel leaning against the warm radiator, we also had underfloor heating so the floor tiles give me goosebumps added to the amazing rumble sound of the big bath tub we had ! I would read a book as the room would steam up the amazing tingles I got added with the warmth it was like meditating ! I have more showers now which isn’t quite the same but still a nice feeling ! Baths are the one 👍🏼😁

I remember waiting in the bathroom while the bath was filling as I sat naked on the floor with my big bath towel beneath me and the bathroom fan running. Our big dog Archie would come in through the cracked bathroom door and lie next to me and I remember falling asleep with my head on his warm, furry chest. I'm pretty sure my dad or mom just let the water continue to run rather than wake me up from that slumber.
