It never fails to amaze me what people kick out to scrap. When I compare some of the stuff I've kept and repaired over the years, the stuff you drag on is in showroom condition comparatively! I know you can't 'see' hidden faults, but the law of averages says that some of them are just 'i've had enough' kind of vehicles. I couldn't so your job, I'd be trying to save them all and that Tigra would be on my drive :D

Totally agree with you about Roundabout indicating. They fail to change the right hand indicator at the exit before the one they need and you think they are coming around, so you stop. It is one of my pet hates. Even when the roads are empty I always indicate, it just keeps you in the habit. Not trying to sound like a Mr perfect driver, it's just something I do. yups...being an English guy living in sunny Indonesia non of these would go to scrap - particularly japanese vehicles, the only thing you can pick up cheap here is european cars as the techs are frightened of them

Did a delivery to a theatre in bath years ago, was told to wait in my cab for a man to show me the way to unloading bay at the rear. The one way system then was horrendous. I could have reversed a fifty yards down one street next to theatre but took about a mile or more to do it without breaking the law.

Indicating on Roundabouts and general courtesy on our roads !! It's a reflection of today's attitude of the general public im afraid, in that people only think of themselves and to hell with everyone else. Im a Driving instructor, you are correct Kev! the standard of driving in this country is falling at an alarming rate. But it is more difficult than it has ever been to pass the Driving Test?

That Skoda looked in pretty good condition. In this day and age is it better to scrap an older car than try and resell especially as that car was at a dealers garage because sale of parts brings in more money than try and sell the car. Thanks for a great video Kev. Stay safe and take care.

You had a rant about the standard of driving by car drivers not interacting and not following rules of the road. Lorry drivers aren't perfect for instance lorry expecting other motorist stop and let them through when the obstruction is on the side of the road that the lorry is on..Another bugbear is when lorrys reverse from a minor road onto a major road. Rule 201 for the Highway Code states that no vehicle should reverse from a minor road to a major road, as far has this applies to all vehicles. If you have to drive in and reverse out surely there is no reason why can't reverse in and drive out. I expect if a lorry was reversing out of a minor road and it hit a motorist driving another vehicle on the major road who has the right of way it would be the other drivers fault and not the lorry driver who was breaking the law/rule of the Highway Code. I wish the police were around when a lorry does this.

I don't have any trouble with giving a bit of extra courtesy to HGV's - only when you have driven one and end up stuck in somewhere tight do you really realise how much it matters - try driving something big for a day or two, you'd change your tune, particularly when drops like Kev's are never or rarely in the same place and to turn around can be a real pain. Shame nobody has any patience and courtesy these days
