I bought this set years ago and wish I hadn’t wasted my money like you say they don’t fit properly if I could get my money back in scrap I would be happy to see them melted down and be used for something useful

Hi Martin. Thanks for your comment. The spanner I'm talking about in the Video is supposed to be 32mm, that's correct. So it DOES fit the main nuts on the bath tap just fine, in most cases. What the video is all about is just a little tweak that you can make, to make the SAME spanner fit the nut on the tap tails AS WELL. 🙂

@@JohnJoss1 thanks for the reply johnjoss1 yes I get that but the set is rubbish in my opinion.i bought a nerrard taped kit set a couple of years ago and compared to the set in the video is far better so much easier and life time guarantee great video though

On my bath there is a piece of ply between the tub and the connectors underneath. It's black with mould, is it supposed to be there

Er, no, I shouldn't think so! Sounds like there's a water leak comming through somehow. It'll either a problem with the sealing washers on the taps or the silicone around the tub needs re-doing ☺

Maestrini Brass Reducing Nipple (3/4" BSP Male to 1/2" BSP Male) plus a 1/2 bsp female to 1/2 bsp female adaptor. Use a bit of jointing compound, or ptfe tape, connecting this lot together. Hope you have room for all this! 😂 (if you can find a 1/2 bsp female to 3/4 bsp male adaptor, which would be ideal , then let me know where you can get such a thing please?)
