So you didn’t watch Bam on Dr Phil then I take it? She’s also very demanding and controlling, see how she took virtually every part of the conversation on here, unfortunately a big enough part of Bam’s downward spiral is his mother.

@@karendegenerous8044 dude the 3 of them literally spent an hour talking about how wonderful it was that under Ape and Phil's watch, there was so much freedom and your takeaway is she's a control freak? Talk about missing the memo. Btw she controlled most of that convo because she's a talker and Phil isn't. Literally every good relationship is where someone is more extroverted than the other. To pin Bams downward spiral on the mother and use that as your evidence is wildly inaccurate.
@Titant2
@Titant2 4 жыл бұрын
@@karendegenerous8044 Bam displays classic junkie behaviour. It is always someone else being the problem, because he turns away from himself and selfresponsibility. The way Bam copes is drugs and alcohol, clinging to good old times, while everyone has moved on. The drugs and alcohol have activated latent psychiatric problems in him, and April has probably tried everything, she seems the type. Now she takes the reigns structuring his life to save him, but Bam is in complete denail, boardering on psychosis (reminiscent of bipolar disorder and schizophrenia). The worst thing she can do is enabling his behaviour, which she did at first, but hopefully she stopped this. Difficult situation for Bam, his kid, his wife, April, Phil, Jess and his friends. But Bam has to play ball and grow up. It would be best for him to leave the entire destructive lifestyle behind and Jackass 4 should be done without him. He needs to take time to heal and take responsibility and control of his life. Because he is a 40 year old with a midlife crisis, which is evolving into an end of life crisis. Best of luck to all involved. Hope Bam turns around, but he'll need help and probably needs to be institutionalized (not only rehab, but psych ward) at some point. Looking at him scribling a new language, the rants etc. This man is very sick and it is sad to see a childhood hero going down like this.

Yep. Like obviously their giving the abreviated version for camera, but it sounds like they parented right. Cos being a parent myself, I will say it's a fine line between being a parent and when to be on ya kids level. And obviously everyones different, but i've found in my opinion that ya gotta know and trust ya kids and know when to let them go, and know when to pull them up. But also be able to be someone that ya kids can come to when they fuck up, like when April was talking about how she sorta covered for Raab to Raabs Dad when he got called to the principal. And I think that's pretty important that ya kids can talk to you, cos if they can't thats when they'll sneak behind you and that's when ya may not be able to get them outta trouble.. Sorry for the long post, but hearing this podcast is something can that can be learnt from all of us, wheather ya a parent or not.

The reason Bam is messed up is because he’s the bread winner of the family, so they’ve given him so many of these extra passes throughout his life, basically never being able to say NO, because he’s always had the upper hand on them. He’s a good dude, but he’s just gotta finally wake up and let go of his ego just for once. Novak wants to help him so bad but he keeps shitting on him every time he tries to help. All of his friends have tried to help for that matter, but he just doesn’t want to change YET. You need to want to change or else it will never happen! Praying for Bam and his family 🙏🏻

Reminds me of such a happy period in life. Friends and I getting our licenses and driving ourselves to skate spots. CKY was the soundtrack to our lives. Losing our minds watching the three CKY movies over and over. Showing them to our parents laughing at their reactions. Take my advice kids. Being an adult is way overrated so enjoy not having responsibilities.

The family and support makes all the difference and phil and april where so vital to all of this. Thanks for the laughs over the years and making me feel like i was part of the cky crew even though i wasnt lol it was nice knowing that my crew is out there somewhere lol. Awesome stuff!
