Love this!! Tbh I agree with you displaying the tampons/pads the way you did. It does look cute💁🏽‍♀️ & it’s very necessary and appropriate for a bathroom.🙌🏽🙌🏽 I think that kind of thing is becoming less and less “taboo,” (which is something that older generations may not get) and I think it’s great that it’s becoming less taboo because its a natural thing. Also, if you’re looking for a use for your hairdryers, you could always give them to a women’s shelter! 🤗🤗 They are always looking for donations and I think they could really benefit from having multiple hairdryers! 💁🏽‍♀️🙌🏽

Christiana Walker Totally agree Christina on both points. When I was a kid (I am in my 60s) those products were wrapped in brown paper and hidden behind the counter at the pharmacy so you had to ask for them (there was such a stigma about them). As you said, it is a natural thing. Also donating unwanted items to women’s shelters is so rewarding and appreciated. 😘💕

I love the tips, but you could get rid of so much more! I'm still getting anxiety from how much is in your cuppards! Why do you need 3 travel makeup bags? Give away all the unopened hotel soaps, or whatever else is unopened to women's shelter. I keep my tampons in a cute basket with a hinged lid, and nail polish in a sturdy box, all my makeup in one cute pouch, and one bin that holds the extra bottles of shampoo, hairdryer, Epsom salts...

I live with my mom and she's not a hoarder but definitely more of the before in this and it drives me crazy! Even when I organize and get designated containers for things she just doesn't care and throws things around so we end up forgetting what we have and accidentally buy multiples. So frustrating. I love organizing though and find the transformations satisfying

This upbeat, positive and funny lady named Cassandra Aarssen has videos that talk about four basic types of personalities and the organizing style that could work the best for them. Since organizing really isn’t a one way works for everyone kind of thing, maybe one of the ways she shows will be helpful with your mom. She has many videos, some of which are specific to identifying which organizing style could fit best for your own needs. I hope this was helpful and wish you all the best.

You ARE ‘like’ a professional organizer! I had a business as a professional organizer and you are very good at what you do! Your thought process is great and i love your process of clearing everything out first, then placing the containers first to see where they will fit. When i worked with people and helped them make decisions about what to keep and what to let go, my ‘mantra’ was “Is is beautiful? Is it useful? Does it add value to your life?” And the last question really answers the first two questions. You could easily help others and make some decent money doing it! Thanks for sharing your journey! Great video! Don't worry about "stealing" hotel soap or toiletries. They like guests to take the soaps, it's like a little gift they can give you. Don't throw them away if you don't want them, give them to women's or family shelters. Especially now, these places will really need them! We collect them at work and give them to a VA hospital's family housing.

I have like 5 blow dryers too. My older one I have puts out way more power then my newer ones. Good storage for the tampons and pads. It makes it easy to get too if anyone that comes over needs one. Nice organization love all that counter and cubboard space you have.

The trick to being organized is letting things go. Usually saving more than one back up for anything gets troublesome. If you don't use it or love it then get rid of it. Your home will feel so much better when you are surrounded by only the things you truly love and the things you actually use.

Try using Foam board to create dividers instead of all that plastic. It looks so nice. You can custom cut it and use every inch of your drawers. Throw out those soaps you got from traveling. The tiny hair dryers are TRAVEL hair dryers.

You have a lot of hair dryers. One could be for you but keep one of the 80’s ones for traveling. Also another thing you could do is put your makeup bags and backpacks for traveling in your suitcases zipped up in closet and it saves space.

You always need to run vacuum on the vent on blow dryers or even just pull out hair or lint. I use q-tips with rubbing alcohol on them to clean them even further!
