Excellent job. As a Finish Carpenter,small tiles take me forever to install. Try using Red Guard for water proofing . I just made a concrete shower pan in a basement shower and did 2 coats of Red Guard. Seems to work perfect.

Cool bathroom, good job! Have you looked into using a wall mounted hidden tank toilet before? It would be an even smaller footprint than that compact one you installed. Something to keep in mind for the future!

Ed Chartrand the shower valve was changed so it needed to be re plumbed anyways.

Hi! I like working with pex, and needed to add valves etc. Pex is quick and easy to work with in my opinion :) The chainsaw worked great for that notch haha! Cheers

Great video. I saw your post on Reddit a few months back and a friend just linked the video. Great stuff. I am about 90% done with my own bathroom renovation, similar in scope to yours. We are in the final phase, doing beadboard and trim, along with final plumbing and fittings. Anyway - a question - where did you get that tilt-out window? We had some windows replaced in our house a few years back and I do not like the window they put in our other bathroom. It's a side-opening, crank, vinyl frame window. The issue is b/c of the small size and the vinyl, it has a massive border around the glass. So the actual window is relatively small. I would like to replace it with one that has a small frame and lots of glass. As a side note, I visited Ireland about 15 years ago and noticed that at every place we stayed during our trip, they had the NICEST windows I've ever seen. Just everything really skookum and beautifully built. Lots of heavy metal/brass, big window glass and wood trim.

Hey Ben! Funny you mention ireland, as we noticed the same things when visiting scotland -- and the inspiration behind my siding and windows was because of our visit :) -- The windows are Jeldwen Siteline windows --- wood with black aluminum cladding on the outside. Cheers!

Great video! Our shower tile and grout color is very similar to yours. Our contractor sealed the grout when he installed it a year ago. What grout sealant do you recommend for annual resealing of dark grout for shower and bathroom floor?

Be careful with that stone mosaic..schluter has a recommendation of nothing smaller than a 2x2 on the shower pan for load point requirements 😬..should be okay though 🤷‍♂️
