Ignore the trolls. Team Vince is a skilled and coordinated crew that works well together to get the job thoroughly and with less man hours than a single person would. You might consider cutting that main shutoff gate valve in half to drain the water out of the line and then unsweating it to preserve tubing length coming out of the ground.

As I was watching your discovery that the overflow pipe did not line up correctly with the tub I was wondering if you were going to make a cut. I would have used the hot air gun softened up the pipe and then lined it up perfectly with the tub. Then you could have used the flat gasket.

@@rickdiego5 I had to go back and look at that video basically what happened was that was a ABS pipe and it was too high so basically you just cut a quarter inch out of the pipe and then you can lower it in using a coupling The reason why we use beveled washers instead of a flat is because the shape of the bathtub some bathtubs have a straight drop and you use flat washers some bathtubs have a slanted drop on the apron then you use the beveled washer in this particular case in order to get the overflow lower we just cut a little piece out I think bending it would have just made it kind of awkward only in my opinion by dropping it straight down lined it right up and took the exact washer that it needed You might have had it been there to see it it's kind of vague in the video thank you for watching and sharing we enjoy this it's nice to hear other people's ways of doing things not saying it wouldn't work just one of those things I guess you'd have to be there to show me. Working in a shower or sink with an open drain while you're removing screws or small parts could be a disaster. I suggest you block the drain whenever you're working on a faucet.

@@rickdiego5 we used to do that always especially when Alicia is around but then we got lazy and dangerous but it's always a good thing to do is to block that drain.
