When I got this on VHS back in I think either 89 or 90, I did the same thing. That score is so dark but uplifting and beautifully triumphant. Interestingly enough, I consider Nolan's Batman to be more of a James Bond type superhero with all the gadgets and abilities. However, I looked at Keaton's Batman as being a sort of mysterious creature that lived in the darkness. Personally, I think the darkness type appeals to me. But everybody has their preference.
@axebomber21083 жыл бұрын
@@skerr808 Yeah. Even if people see Burton's Batman as campy now, there's elements of it that I think are actually darker than Nolan. Like Nolan is dark in a more matter of fact, real world way like Law and Order. Burton was more like a gothic horror movie, especially the first one but in some ways the second too. Even if the whole Burtonverse never makes a comeback, I'd like to see Burton's style make a comeback. There needs to be a director who's a fanboy of both the Burton movies and the comics who figures out how to marry the two. Maybe that's what we would have gotten if Burton had left Sam Hamm's script alone and just brought all his ideas to life in his signature gothic style.

When the fan fare started the set would pull away to reveal a projected bat signal, and who ever was play Batman would be standing on a edge and when the fanfare played the last 30 secs, they would jump off into the orchestra pit, full arms extended, with the cape fully extended, and a projection saying Batman will return. I stuck a batman atop a castle I painted in high school. Totally out of place, out of scale, full daylight, etc. But this scene emblazoned itself on me forever. I know the secret though. Elfman changes Batman's theme from a minor chord to a major chord, right at the moment the camera crawls up the buildings.

GOAT ending of any Batman film.

31 YEARS OLD, and still the BEST "Batman" movie ever!

Even as I saw this movie at close to 4 years old, this has to still be one of the best endings to a movie I have ever seen. Not only the ending, the music, Kim Basinger’s beauty, and overall energy are like all in a certain unison.

Right this film is amazing and I rank it 2nd in all of the batman films. But this end scene is by far the best. The score the moment. Brilliant

I was really young when this came out and being able to go to the movies to see a film at that age was a huge deal for me (it was possibly the second film i remember seeing at the theater after Snow White during summer of 87) and the ending really stuck with me like “thats how you end a film”.

***** well he's technically the prototype for all superheroes. And he has several weaknesses now, by the way.
@JB05239 жыл бұрын
***** Well besides kryptonite, he's weak to magic/mystic arts, psionic powers, red sun radiation, lead, massive physical forces like foes he fights that are from space like him such as General Zod or Darkseid, and sometimes electricity
@moriellymoproblems78429 жыл бұрын
+JB0523 He doesn't have a weakness to lead. His so-called weakness to magic is vastly overstated by people like yourself who don't do their research. Red sun radiation is plot induced stupidity since it only ever slows him down, and Superman just ends up fighting his way out of it. Kryptonite has, and always will be his main weakness. It's no surprise you think he's a generic character, your assessment of him is based on ignorance. I guess that makes you a generic troll.
