0:56-1:07 that is one of the reasons why Batman is one of my all time favourite superheroes, he sees how traumatised those children are and he also reassures them he won’t let anything happen to them. I mean they had the same look on their faces when his own parents were killed. One of the main parts about his whole mission is to prevent that from ever happening to anyone so they don’t feel that pain he felt that night, so they don’t go down the same path of vengeance

​@@SiM0n1755xyes, but Damian is also his son who was raised by assassins to be a weapon for his entire life and was a bloodthirsty little brat when they met, so when he saw the scene (and because Damian was not facing him so he couldn't see his hands through the cape) he was taken by the shock and fear that Damian went back to his assassin roots simply put it he was overtaken by his emotions.
