I love this game. The sequels are probably better but I don’t think we will ever get a superhero game like this again with the sense of claustrophobia mixed with a striking art style with unforgettable moments. The ideas in this game are on a smaller scale than the other ones but they’re done to perfection that I don’t mind. All time great

Because it's the great Batman game and a great metroidvania, later games don't have this feeling. Smaller scale allows to put more attention to details and detective stuff, the game strikes balance very well and does remind us that Batman isn't just a guy that only punches criminals in the face, the same balance that 90-s original Animated series striked as well.

@@jarodM6 well it is not really a remastered version so much as it is a final revision. nothing is really changed. the rain rocksteady added back into in game was always intended to be there but was nixed due to it causing negative effects on console performance (notice at the end that there is no rain in the switch version because the switch is an underpowered piece of garbage)

@@SK008 that's what gets me on the Arkham Asylum remake is The model retextures, I think the lighting is a nice touch up but models should have stayed the same they look oddly smooth and just different in a odd way I'm not a fan.

While I am a psn player and don’t have a switch has to say I am glad that the graphics are very similar to the ones of 2009. It’s ironic really that Arkham asylum and city are the only two games that I prefer more on the old gen then the next gen

The remaster smoothens the facial detail too much, many of the detail gone. Also the colour grading a bit off sometime in the remaster.

I didn't expect to love this game as much as I did during my first watch through. And now, more than a decade on from 2012, I have inducted Batman: Arkham Asylum into my "Greatest Games of All Time" list. I love to revisit this hostile island takeover with evolving geography, new obstacles to overcome in addition to Joker freely running around and killing people, and of course the Titan Formula. Good luck, new generation of gamers, lets players and would-be Arkham fans. Feel free to seek out BAV for any and all tips for great combat, quick level-ups, and what gadgets you should upgrade to gain access to more of the island faster. Also, shoutout to Arleen Sorkin, the woman who inspired Harley Quinn, in her last appearance in this game. Rest in Peace, queen of the acrobatic jesters!

There's missing dialogue in Arkham Asylum for some reason. Batman doesn't talk but his mouth moves. Joker's voice is very quiet sometimes. I might have to delete and put the cartridge in again. 🤔 The audio is completely fine in Arkham Knight - however the framerate does take a massive hit during the Batmobile parts - expected.

Always great to see Arkham Asylum on my feed. To me it was the most gothic and detailed out of the 4 (that's right, I'm counting Origins since it had the best Deathstroke fight). I will say this too, I am THANKFUL that they're using the same version from the PS3 and Xbox360 because that "remaster" that was released a while back was god awful.

I don't know why, I redownloaded the game 3 times, but Arkham Asylum just doesn't open on my switch, City is working perfectly, but Asylum just shows an eternal black screen when I launch the game, does anybody know how to make it work or fix it?

I know this comment is old now, but it’s easier on the hardware. I was playing Arkham City on my Xbox Series X yesterday via the Remastered version, and it was awful. I had several issues where textures refused to load in, frame rate was all over the place, it was horrid. If a Series X is struggling to run the Unreal Engine 4 Remasters of these games, a Nintendo Switch is going to struggle even more. It’s easier to port over the Xbox 360 & PS3 versions. Besides, the original games receive a lot more love from fans than what the Remasters do anyways. So, it definitely helped to please people who prefer the originals.
