What I had to do was fly towards the blimp on the left side then when it would force me to u-turn I would fly right back to it immediately.

Did the exact same thing. direction slightly to the left of the church same altitude. Could not maintain my altitude. Lucky though achievement popped up right as he was going into his grappnel freefall. frustrating.

It does a u-turn when you enter the restricted area on the map
