Batman:Arkham City Combat tips

Thank you for these tips. I only play on hard and with your tips I was able to easily break through the 60x combo during the campaign (I will go into the challenges when I complete the game). Needless to say, the game is so much more fun now. The number one takeaway from this video: DO NOT BUTTON MASH - That was my main problem.

Thank you very much. Although I have perfect freeflow from Batman Arkham Asylum and brutality 101 from Batman Arkham knight, I was nervous about this challenge. It was easier than I thought. Took me 2 tries. Writing them down helped me a lot

justinjacquez766 it’s not just a different “costume,” it’s an entirely different character. I haven’t even played Arkham Knight and I know you play Jason Todd, not Bruce Wayne. And what does it have to do with being taken seriously? I don’t get it.

This technique is good bit its one of the slowest ones. I find the most important thing is what gadgets you use. I will sometimes get into a combo and start knocking down thugs with one hit then I will get four thugs on the ground and do a multi ground takedown. Or build up freeflow the use an electric charge or freeze blast. A freeze blast will immobilise half of the thugs if done well and the charge will make thugs drop some weapons. By the way this only works with the freeflow gadgets upgrade and the multi ground takedown upgrade.

I'm posing this in January 2024 and still addicted to freeflow on Joker's Funhouse. I still had no idea what variations were, only that they sometimes break the freeflow.

Once u enable "critical strike", there's no turning back. The tutorial will appear mid-combat even after u disable it & that's too annoying. I'm not trying to perform a critical strike in every single battle, but the game keep saying "too soon", "too slow". So I started the campaign completely over & this time I will skip the critical strike ability.
