That part of the game was brilliant. It's better when you don't listen Strange's tape first. Just the image of Batman paying respect to his parents. All visual, no dialogue, just the music, perfect
@runningwild0911 жыл бұрын
Actually, someone did a custom playback for this scene and honestly, it is perfect. It starts with the parents leaving, then the guy holding them up, each get shot while Bruce cries out for them, then it plays half of hugo's line, and it ends with Batman saying to the joker how he would have saved him, even after all he has done. It's worth the watch, trust me.

Ravioko Search on here "Batman: Arkham City - Remembrance" and it should be a video by Tim Timsen. It's a beautiful mix that he does with various audio clips that mix well together and talk about perfect timing with the music. He nails it. Might even make you choke up a bit too
@LightingDax45610 жыл бұрын
Actually if you listen to some select tapes such as the Victor Fries when interrogated by Strange, Zsszas' back story or the tape Hugo leaves for you. It just added an extra certain weight to the music and stories your listening to making them feel way more emotional and real. Should try it out if you still have the game.

Imagine this. You know full well how Batman came to be. The murder of his parents when he was at a young age. It was an event that continues to haunt him to this very day. And you return to the very place where he last saw his parents. And as you pay your respects, this music plays as Batman kneels to the crime scene that once belonged to his parents, and the camera slowly rotates around him, with the snow continuing to fall, and Doctor Strange, taunting you by implying that you are a broken man. A broken man who is no better than the criminals he brutalizes every night, whilst dressing like a bat. In the end, we know that this made the confrontation with Strange all the more satisfying.

Batman: Arkham City is one of my favorite games of all time. It reminds me of a simple time in my life when I wasn’t so stressed out and anxious and derepressed. I’ve gotten 100% completion on this game TWICE. I made this game my bitch lol. But anyway, the second time was my final time playing the game. I had flied through every loop, taken down every villain, listened to every tape and completed every mission. Then, as my final act, I landed in front of the movie theater and slowly walked to Crime Alley. When I got there, I payed my respects and as the camera panned around Batman kneeling on the ground with his hand to the pavement and this song playing, all of the wonderful memories this game brought me. When the music ended and Batman stood up, I took the disc out of my console and put it in the box with a tear falling off my face and hitting it. Goodbye, Arkham City. You will always hold a special place in my heart.

The Batman BOSS fight should be terrifyingly imposible. {Batman Arkham Knight: Inner demon plays} Like at first it seems like you can take out Batman. You fight him in hand to hand combat him vs all of you. Using hit and run tactics. He throws hits - here and there Like wise “damage” to him ( He’s “life bar” drains slowly) But when he’s life bar hits zero He says “Times up” and you realize it was his patience. A cut seen comes up and everyone is beaten up. THEN red lights going on and off, He starts picking off the suicide squad one by one. Capturing each Squad member to make them scream in the background. As you try to run through the maze of the building. In the dark Losing members one by one. Then Harley is left The player looks around nervously… Then the last scream stops. A cut scene plays (Assuming this is Arkham Batman or a variant of Arkham Batman. ) After Arkham Harley bonded with the Squad she screams “You took everything from me. Just finish it.” Then black screen… Song finishes ------------- Three pathways 1 Then it shows the members waking up Harley in a separate room each with medical treatment. And Harley ask “What Happened” “Turns out Batman, wasn’t under control.” And Batman’s here to help. Harley makes her peace with Batman. After all those years (unlikely Batman looks demented under control like he’s been waiting to break his one rule 🫣) ------------- Path 2 (After The black screen ) Harley wakes up in a strange facility in the alien machine. (Most likely came up with the idea after they defeated Superman.) Turns out Brainiac saw the S.Squad abilities and wishes to control them. And has already converted 3/4 team mates (The developers can let the player choose their main for this next part ….. but I’d advise them for story purposes to choose Harley since Long story short: •Harley escapes •And figures out how everyone is being controlled with the help of Lex Luther •She finds the antidote or machine to free everyone’s mind presumably from “Nanotechnology” •She fights her friends and cures them one on one. A timer is on and Batman is on his way Which ever member is “cured” helps you fight Batman with some alien tech or something Or perhaps a cut scene where they hold him down. They administer the “cure” and give Batman the cure to cure the other Super Hero’s (this is assuming that their is a choice to bring them in alive and hold them prisoner. Meanwhile they stay back and fight brainiac and his machines. And the place self-destructs Then s.squad back to base and they are hero’s And Harley makes her peace with Batman. ( Kid friendly ending - but the title suggests that this is unlikely, : this path is assuming developers make a choice to bring them alive ( harder but possible) ----------------------- Path 3 (3 Endings) There is a cut scene (Harleys experience with Batman gives her an idea -or from a flash back of advise from “Mr.J”) where Harley uses herself as bait and As soon as Batman grabs Harley. She drops a flash bang/ or more preferable from desperation rams it in his face. Batman’s night vision betrays his eyes. (You can train everything except the eyes- to an extent) She Throws a Semtex or mini C-4 stuck to Batman’s chest and he feels it but can’t get it off. ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, And then Path 3.1 ending Harley jumps away and “BANG” The smoke clears Harley walks over to Batman Armor intact. Face missing. “This one’s for you Mr. J” Harley has her peace. Game continues. Turns out teammates are captured to be “converted” Game continues. ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, Path 3.2 Batman takes of the bomb and throws it up (because he is blind) The smoke clears and he is on the ground From outside of the cut scene Harley steps in suddenly and knocks him out with old reliable. And takes him into custody unconsciously. It isn’t until the end of the game he examples what happened of the death of Joker. Harley makes her peace. ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, Path 3.3 (Memorial) Harley jumps away and “BANG” The smoke clears Harley walks over to Batman He is coughing up blood from shrapnel. And somehow he isn’t under control anymore. (The pain and his training is helping him overcome the mind control. ) Barely holding on He tells her, “There isn’t much time, I’ve rigged the place to blow with a timer that will start when my heartbeat slows down and conclude on my death” •Then Batman tells her where her teammates are and Explains brainiac wanted to control them. •He gives her a mini tablet with where brainiac is And how to defeat him. And a video on the night of Joker’s death. To Harley’s surprise she takes it. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Then This Song starts to play and continues until the black out screen below : Batman: Arkham City (OST) - Fateful Knight ("Pay Your Respects" Theme) ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Harley brings Batman with her in a nearby vehicle and collects her teammates. They ask what happened and she screams she’ll explain later and for them to drive out of the facility. The place starts to blow!!! Explosions and bright light go off. Batman gives her earphones and the explosions are muffled. And he gives her the tablet with the video feed from Batman’s suit on the night of Jokers death. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ The song “Pay Your Respects" Theme continues to play but not over the audio of the following . ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ (The camera moves in From the front view of the vehicle You can see everyone else freaking out. Pointing at things to the driver to look out. In the backseat Harley is staring at the blue light screen The camera is now in wide in view of Harley and Batman seated at the barn the Camera slowly moves closer to Harley’s face as she looks into the bright screen {We don’t see what she sees but we see her holding the phones back side to us, and her facial expressions. Then we hear familiar sounds from the final act. From “Arkham City”} (The place is still blowing up and bright lights come through the window onto Harley face. You can hear the muffled sound of explosions and and her teammates yelling but not much . ) Then This audio played Batman voice: “Do you want to Know something funny, Even after everything you’ve done I would of saved you.” Joker Laughs “That’s actually pretty funny” Harley sees Mr. J have his last laugh thanks to Batman. It’s officially been one year today since we lost our Dark Knight. No matter what, Kevin Conroy will always be Batman for me, and for so many other people. It really hurts that I’m writing this because although I never knew the man, he made such a huge impact on mine and so many other people’s lives. Rest in peace, Batman, we miss you.

"A moment of remembrance". Arkham Knight had no moments like this. City had some of the best music and storyline in the arkham series hands down.

+Technimaster It's great that you enjoyed it, really! Because while I don't find it as fun as City (even though I haven't finished City) it still means that you can see the good things better than me :)

Same. This truly was my favorite of the 4. Because of this part, and especially that amazing plot twist

Yeah it’s musics like this and the museum theme and the storyline that makes this game so special

Arkham Knight ruined it by having Joker fight there, this moment is meant to Bruce's final goodbye before confronting Scarecrow but instead it was just another fight

Seeing a lot of the comments, I think we can all relate to this theme. Not just Batman losing his parents, Spider-Man letting the guy that killed Uncle Ben get away when he could've stopped it, Superman losing his family and his world before he even knew what it was, etc. But everything. This is a theme to contemplate what he we have lost, but also what we can gain learning from all of our defeats.
