It's not that it's made by rocksteady... okay it is.. They lost their ... Game. From epic boss fights in arkham city to disappointing and annoying tank fights in arkham knight. I think the only reason why it's 10/10 is because of first impressions, how these reviewers are fixed onto the graphics and "you get to drive the batmobile!". I don't think they know what an arkham game really is. I'd rather fight Deathstroke in Arkham Origins than in Arkham Knight mainly because I actually Enjoyed fighting him up close.

57GreenGuy Rocksteady shit all over the character of Deathstroke. They threw him in a tank and recycled the same tank battle you already had with the Arkham Knight earlier in the game. I was stunned by the laziness. I think someone at WB probably sent a memo to Rocksteady like a week before launch saying, "Oh, by the way, you have to have a Deathstroke boss fight in the game. Period." And forget about Deathstroke for a second, I was expecting a one-on-one fight with the Arkham Knight! I could've been a little more forgiving about the Deathstroke thing if they had at least had a hand-to-hand boss fight with the main villain of the game who is in the game's freaking title for Christ's sake.

Generally speaking, Arkham City's city looked better. But Arkham Origins somewhat captured the "Fuck this place, I don't want to be here" vibe of Gotham, which is necessary for me personally. I'm still on the fence. I'm looking for something similar to the Gothic atmosphere of Arkham Asylum. Arkham Origins is closer to delivering that, I think. The reasons that Origins' graphics were not as good as city's is because: 1) wasn't made by rocksteady 2) city didn't have any villains to decorate to buildings (joker with his clowns and balloons) 3) the ps3/xbox 360 were pushed to their limits allowing the player to travel around a much larger Gotham than they did in City

Origins has a bigger city but much fewer details. The only visual upgrades are the enhanced shadows, ambient occlusion, and better physx effects on PC. Due to the limitations of last gen consoles, Origins had to cut corners in details because it wanted to expand the map.

In origins hes more about armoring up and beatingsfkes down....but losing two fistfights with bane made him realize he needs to be more strategic and faster. Once he gains more confidence he sheds the heavier armor for lighter thinner armor. If u notice...in origins you are alot slower...you miss with batarangs...you have a shorter counter window.... and you have way less prowess in combat. You carry more gadgets. In city he tells alfredo more gadgets and armor slowedhim down..so he shed it. It does make sence

Hold up ... If Origins was in South Gotham Which in Arkham knight wonder tower is only on Arkham city... How is wonder tower and some Arkham city structures are same in the two games if I'm Arkham knight Royal Hotel isn't in Arkham city...This is getting confusing someone help me please...

City looks way more polished. Origins Batman looks like he started a regimen of synthol and graphics are just plain bad, you can see how they tried to use the clouds and snow to cover the city.

Totally agree the game would have been better if they made if for next gen consoles and took another year or two to fix all the glitches and polish the city.

I wonder why the graphics look worse on Origins. Did they changed it because the map was bigger and it would run like crap if it was like in Arkham City?

They're not worse technologically speaking. Many aspects are better. But the color pallette is different as it's supposed to be winter. Everything's gray so it looks dull. It's also going for a more realistic look rather than the over stylized cartoony look of Arkham City.

@@Matticitt I know, but that's exactly my reasoning here, they went for a more "realistic" style for an ARKHAM game out of nowhere? A third game in a series with previous entries all being extremely stylized? It was a weird direction for sure, always thought it was because of performance issues, since the 'realistic' buildings have less details than the Art Neaveau/Deco/Gothic style mix of the previous game I thought that was a choice made to help the game run better with a bigger map and the entire design change was the perfect excuse for it, but if that's not the case then I am really confused by it. Still enjoyed playing it though, funny how this game has better bosses than KNIGHT. lol

@@mj3541 different part of gotham. The parts from the first 3 games still exist and can be seen in the distance. Gotham consists of 6 islands. Old gotham, new gotham, arkham island, miaganni Island, founders Island, and bleaker Island. In Npc dialoge u can hear them speaking about places like the bowery, diamond district, and blackgate. Everything from the 3 previous games is cannon and is NOT retconned..it would be awesome to see the entire city in one game.

Origins had the better graphics but I like the City design of Gotham more. Like with the iceberg lounge you see that Arkham City was completely taken over by those specific villains. In Origins that part of the city which later becomes Arkham is still rather decent. Villains don't show off that much where they are and who they are with their buildings. In City everyone is focusing on showing off "this is my territory " by plastering their signs and such on it. So, even if I like City more, it's only logical that in Origins Gotham has a more decent look. Both games are awesome though.

Honestly, Arkham City had better graphics. Thought the Amour design and detail was better in origins.

No I wish rocksteady and Wb Montreal would have put like the dark knight returns skin in all of the games. I like that costume of batman. Expect Arkham knight, his costume in that game is good.

@@MrBlack252 Exactly, there are rooms in the steel mill that shouldn’t even be there and missing doors and hallways. There prison area of the courthouse is nonexistent. There shouldn’t be any rivers by wonder tower because there were none in Arkham city. And entire buildings are gone.
