Batman™ Arkham Knight - Special interaction with Joker if you put Riddler away before beating story

Most people will put Riddler in last so they most likely won't see this. In NG+ you keep all of your progress on the trophies so doing Riddler's missions is a breeze, its super satisfying to lock up Riddler first.

Maybe because Riddler operates like Joker but is more "predictable". Joker is chaotic but Riddler wants to put an order to his chaos. By maintaining their "humiliation" relationship, he will be more contained.

to try and lore-master as much as I can here (please correct me where I’m wrong): - the chalice Batman drank from only staved off the disease he had (pretty much confirmed to be a bad blood transfusion as well as the titan sickness). Then he was properly cured at the end of the game. - The joker Batman sees isn’t from the blood at Arkham city or the chalice. He doesn’t have the hallucinations until the Ace chemicals mission. Batman’s reaction is almost completely different to all the others, because his is from the new strain of scarecrow gas. Batman had Robin working tirelessly on a cure for the jokers because he was scared he’d become one, so that’s what the gas made him believe and then fulfil. We know from the game (Stagg, militia checkpoint soldiers, etc) that the gas has long term impacts long after the inhalation even if you only got a little bit, and that it’s not just simple fear but all kinds of psychological damage. The joker hallucinations only get more powerful and look more healthy when Batman has more of it. Batman doesn’t have titan sickness, and he doesn’t have the prion disease the others did (or at least nowhere near the same extent). - The joker saying it doesn’t make it true. This joker is from Batman’s brain, giving a voice to his fear that soon his entire brain will be like this. Its goal is to mess with him. The joker has always been someone who sees reality as a loose concept, and would do their best to twist what they can. Mentioning past, verifiable events that Batman knows (like Jason Todd’s death, the hydrochloric holy water baptism, etc) is real, but anything subjective or clearly a lie to annoy him (like his comments on Catwoman and Talia, if Batman designed the the new Batmobile’s weaponry because his brain was diseased, etc) and this comment is to mess with him.

I wish he said that so much! I hate how it just ends there; it's not like Riddler's challenges were easy, I remember dying several times because of them. However, from his perspective, we're just flawlessly gliding through them, and that makes me feel so bad for him. I wish he got some form of validation for his work, I think that's literally all he wants.

Hell, as soon as I started noticing the Joker having dialogue to damn near everything, I made sure to avoid the main story missions _until_ I had no choice but to progress it. I'm probably one of the four people that actually enjoys the Riddler stuff, gives constant things to do in the world, I had him done well before several of the others, gadgets allowing.

I feel like the Riddler trophies get too much hate. Interrogate enough thugs and use a guide to literally get them all super quick as you progress

@@madarachnid427 Don't even need a guide when you get enough thugs interrogated, even the vague riddles aren't hard to figure out when you're given a position on the map to find them. Exception being something like the one that turned out to be the Batmobil just because you obviously move it around the map while its indicator doesn't, but at least the riddle on that one is a little more blatant to not be too hard to figure out.

Finishing the side missions before the main story is great so you get to hear the Jokers commentary each time you put away one of the super criminals.

Can't really argue with Joker here, not only because he's literally a figment of Bruce's faltering imagination, but imagine being in Riddler's shoes here. You have an ego the size of Everest about how smart you are, you get beaten at your own games, captured and locked away only to realise out of all the chaos in an entire city you had to have been the easiest target if you've been beaten first. 'Course I doubt Riddler himself sees it that way, clearly he thinks because he's first he must've been of the utmost importance to Batman.

I mean...yeah. Bruce has his location several trophies early in Asylum but waits until the last one to send it to the GCPD. We can find the hostages right away in City but Bats will wait for Nigma to give the location. And in Knight there's really nothing stopping Batman from finding a way down the hole Riddler went to hide in.

tbf, riddler is a huge genius, it's said that the reason there's no boss fights in arkham knight is because batman has become justice league level at this point so none of his villains can hold their own for very long against his anymore, all except for riddler, who built a mech capable of fighting him for a considerable amount

Ng+ was worth it alone because of the fact on replaythroughs you didn't have to hunt down those damn trophies. I am not kidding when I say... this cut the game's actual game time in _half_ *sigh* Now if only this sped up arkham city that much... i love that game to pieces but even i recognize there's somehow MORE sidequests than any other arkham game _combined_
