I see what you're saying, but this is how all the Batman: Arkham games have been. I think it still feels like that in Batman: AO, but they did try to put some more weight behind combat in this one and it shows.

I don't know. I guess they were going for the whole "Cinematic" combat feel. But it just looks like batman is sliding, slapping people and flipping around and has no weight to his motions at all. It might work well in a movie, where the camera angles actually work with you to make it more impressive, but it comes off a little goofy to me in a game like this.

It doesn't really justify it, and I never really tried to. But it is very common and in a title that is just "more of the same until you get a kickass next gen title" this is not bad, especially when you think of how money grubbing they could have gone with and they didn't. But an expansion price would have been okay in my eyes really.

A third is reused assets in other locations etc, but the entire game is not Arkham stuff. But this game is made by another studio in half the time because.. well new generation consoles. The game is basically "good old batman" stuff and if you liked the other games then this will not be bad. And what game does not re-use stuff nowadays anyway here and there? Call of Duty is basically just that really. I rather take reused arkham assets than pay 60 dollar annually for the same cod game imo.

Riddle me this: Again, why was it they didn't cast Kevin Conroy (The Greatest Batman) in this? I understand they wanted to go "younger" as it's a prequel (and that Conroy's working on another Batman game), but... the VA they cast is doing his damnedest Kevin Conroy/Batman impersonation. Is Conroy really too busy to do both? Are they trying to get a scab to replace Conroy on the cheap (especially going forward)? If so, I'll be very upset--it's Kevin Conroy, Arleen Sorkin, and Mark Hamill.

I still don't get why people think the combat is great in the Arkham games. Batman is literally a pinball, bouncing and jumping clear across the screen after landing one punch or kick. They should use Sleeping Dogs' engine coupled with batman's gadgets. Punch one guy, jump 10 feet to another guy, land one kick, fly across the screen to hit another guy once, ridiculous.
