I'm stuck on 12 too... but do I seriously have to do it 20 freaking times? On the screen displaying the challenge, it says 0/20 ... It's taken me ages, and I mean ages to finally get the 20 critical strikes in one free flow combo, and now it says 1/20. I seriously cannot be arsed to struggle 19 more times.

For Rank 15, you don't have to do the 15 variations within the x50 combo. I found that you can get the x50 then do the variations. Also, once you reach the x50 you CAN get hit.

yeah you just have to hit X50 and then take out the rest using various methods. I did it without getting hurt, which took a lot of patience and me yelling at my tv screen haha

Thanks for the video, helps a damn sight more. The most complex one was the last challenge of x50 and the variations. I found that I reached x50, and then did a few variations, went onto another fight and did some more variations (without reaching x50 again), and passed that way.

excellent video, but you forgot to mention one thing. You need to defeat Shiva in order to unlock the Critical Hit from basic strike. (You can get them off a counter earlier, but it's really difficult to get the full 20 w/o defeating shiva first.

Alright. I got level 15. And had 22 variations. Here are tips to get it easiest: Don't do it on easy, they die too quick Doing each variation with electro gloves counts as a different variation The best place to do it during the story is the first gang fight at the bird location or right after meeting deathstroke in prison or the battle right after that in the padded cell The best place outside of the story are active crimes or where the video showed The 15 variations do not have to be done inside the 50x combo, so build up your combo to 50x and then focus on variations To build your combo, find armored thugs or bane thugs or the giant guys Focus on getting all of the stun attacks, they don't kill the enemy

I didn't realize that the Blade Dodge, and the Blade Dodge Takedown counted as different moves for this challenge. I think in Arkham City Challenge Mode, both moves counted the same as Counter.

WHY is that slow motion shit only for batman? Right before batman strikes an opponent he goes slomo and every one else is full speed if not faster! Right now I could of sworn I hit an opponent first but still bat man was out swung. Is this a glitch or that how they made the game?

The only problem I have with the dark knight suit is that it is damaged completely in the story modes. It looks great in challenge mode but in story mode, At the BEGINNING of New game plus, it is as damaged as the regular origins suit at the end of new game. So its beauty is spoiled and you cannot admire it in cutscenes. Shameful to say that they were soooo lazy that they thought they'd just make the belt golden colored and the suit black colored and it could pass as the Dark Knight suit. Aghh! I hope Rocksteady brings things back on track.

I think the best place to get Rank 15 is in Coventry, in the first side mission of Bird. There are 19 enemies and all of them are weak. I got It by firstly getting 50x combo, then I lost the combo (BUT DO NOT GET HIT) so I could do the variations with calm. I killed most of them with quick Batarangs and when they where like 5 or 6 I started doing Ultra Atún, Aerial Attack, Punch with electric gloves, quick grenade, beat up.... Sorry if my English is not good or I miss any translations. I hope this helps

Stick in there and keep going. Like I said above, think you can reach x50 and finish one fight, go onto another afterwards and do some variations and do a third fight and do more variations and still pass. It just says reach x50, 15 variations, and don't get touched at all. As long as you concentrate more on not getting touched, you can take your time with the x50 and the variations.

It’s really not. Hardest thing is just finding a big enough crowd of guys so you can get the 50 and have guys still standing. The Bird gang fights are the easiest.

rank 5 was driving me nuts. i didn't realize it meant no getting hit, no missing, no breaking multiplier buildup and no breaking focus mode _from start to finish_. if you mess up once, it won't matter if you still end the fight in free focus mode. lol

I feel like Rocksteady should go further than the scope of just Batman games. Make Robin games as he learns to be the best robin he can. And also include Dick Grayson's transformation to Nightwing. We got to play as them in Arkham City, so why not bridge the gap between Origins and Asylum? Also, I wouldn't mind a game where the story involves not just Gotham, but also Bludhaven.

Don't worry, I started off like that - keep practicing & you'll be free flowing in no time, and be getting those combos in the hundreds! Try the combat maps [esp. 100 to 1 & initiation maps (i.e. to practice against the martial artist and female assassins) as Batman] and keep playing the main quest to unlock more of Batman's abilities to enhance your experience. Trust me, once you've clocked the combat mechanics, it becomes a rewarding experience playing this, and the other previous titles. Good luck ;)

Just sharing this one. I finished shadow vigilante rank 13 in the gcpd with those 4 armored thugs!! I was fucking shocked and overwhelmed! I just cape beatdown the 2 thugs then used combo takedown for the remaining 2!! I think it was a glitch

I got so lucky in free roam were there was crime in progress with a large group of cops and criminals fighting and they all froze on me and I managed to do beat them all up with the 50x and the 15 variations in a snap.

Tnx I got finally this hard one rank 15. I got it by accident, maybe it was a bug. I killed 4 thugs within 2 min. Iam sure I did not use 15 diff combos and 50 strikes. I was gliding (red) and hit a thug.

Apparently this is harder to do with keyboard than with console controller. There is a video about it on you tube. Okay, just had a look at the menus, and the only critical I can see is as a counter strike, but it seems there is another locked upgrade that allows critical strikes. That's where I am going wrong as I haven't unlocked that ability yet. Might be worth a mention in the video.
