Honestly, I think it worked. They're both much older, much more tired. They're at the end of their careers, they're not as strong and young as they were here, Bruce is less than a few hours away from literally committing 'suicide'. Would I have liked to see more outside-Batmobile boss fights in Knight? Yeah.But I feel like from a story perspective - if not a gameplay perspective - both this and the Arkham Knight fight (where Batman tries desperately to do everything he can to just disarm the Knight, because *he cannot bring himself to hurt Jason*) 'worked'.

@@JeffLionheart i get what you mean but that part about Bruce not wanting to hurt Jason is kinda inaccurate. Bruce has never hesitated to fight Jason even if he is holding back he'll still take him down if he needs to. His first outing as the red hood is a prime example and even after the new 52 and rebirth they've bumped heads a couple times as well. So what I'm saying is Bruce wants to help Jason he cares for Jason but as he told him recently " I've never hated you Jason doesn't mean i don't think you deserve to get your ass kicked every now and then but at the end of the day i know we've got each other's backs" didn't say all this to tell you off but I'm saying that's why a lot of people were expecting a different outcome than what we got because when batman and red hood( or Arkham Knight in this case) fight it can be pretty epic and fun to watch or read so it would've been nice to play something more like that rather then the tank battles we got and while you say deathstroke and bats are older and tired both could spend their days fighting and just find a way to keep going. So i do get what you mean but it didn't work story wise either they just dropped the ball on this one imo.

I take it back. Deathstroke is the best fight in Arkham Origins and second best boss fight in my opinion in the Arkham series after Mister Freeze. Once you understand how the fight works it becomes incredibly fun. I got through this fight on New Game Plus without getting hit.

Jacob Szymanski I think the Deathstroke fight is more repetitive than the Freeze fight to be honest. The reason I think Freeze fight is such an exceptional addition to the Arkham series was because it was used as the basis for all the boss fights in Arkham Origins and every single boss fight in Origins was fun to play. They really should DLC pack for Deathstroke; he really deserves his own mini-story because he is such a blast to play as on the combat and predator maps. He was seriously underused in the Arkham Origins main story.

Jacob Szymanski I was happy with Bane being the main assassin because I really liked this interpretation of Bane. He is a genius and deadly fighter, just like the one from the comics. But Deathstroke wound up being an advertised extra; he was shown way too much in the trailers and tv spots. Hour into the game and he is out. Still Arkham Origins is my favourite. I liked just as much the last two if not more; truly worthy sequel.

John Doe Bane begin the main assassin and second antagonist of the game is fine because this is really the first time the games have got him but what with Dark Knight Rises portraying Bane the way they did new people coming into the Arkham series will look at Bane and see a big hulking brute as opposed to a genius strategist and they will immediately start questioning things. It was disappointing that Deathstroke didn't have as big of a role in the game and if he wasn't advertised prior I think it would be pretty safe to say he came out of fucking nowhere. Also here's a lesson for everybody who is into the series: If a character gets hyped up a great deal before the game is released don't expect a big role from them

What I like about deathstrokes boss fight is how realistic it is (as realistic as dc gets). It looked like actual combat between the these two with the attacking and counterattacking, and slade didn’t need any thugs to help him like other boss fights. No.At this point of the game you can use up to 3 quickfire gadgets,have a larger variety of attacks like the beatdown and more special combo moves depending on what you upgrade.

*Do not smash your buttons! When he is going to attack, counter him of course, then give him 3 to 4 hits then STOP. When a cinematic scene is going to appear, wait for the "counter" option in the screen. If you do it right you can beat him without taking any damage. You can also use the batclaw. Double tap the batclaw to make it easier. I hope this helps.

What makes this fight the best in my opinion throughout the Arkham Series is when Batman and Slade begin countering each other. It is so unique, so fluid, and is just a treat to watch these two fighters just duke it out. I honestly like this fight more than the fight between Batman and Ra’s in Arkham City. This may be because I haven’t seen a really good fight between Ra’s and Bats, but I stand by my opinion: best fight in the Arkham Series, hands down. But I am open to being proven wrong if anyone knows of another video with Bats fighting someone else. Until someone proves me wrong, I stick by my opinion. Best fight. Hands down.

The problem with rocksteady is that they believe that there is no enemy in Batman's rogues gallery that can give him a proper fight as equals. I guess that's why Rocksteady's arkham has so few satisfying boss fights and battles.

Arkham Asylum had 6 Boss Fights and they were decent. 1. Bane 2. Harley Quinn 3. Scarecrow 4. Killer Croc 5. Poison Ivy 6. Titan Joker Zsasz and the Titan Henchmen don't count. Arkham City had 11 boss fights 1. Solomon Grundy 2. Penguin 3. Ra's all Gul 4. Mr. Freeze 5. Joker 6. Clayface 7. Mad Hatter 8. Deadshot 9. Two-Face (Catwoman DLC) 10. Poison Ivy (Catwoman DLC) 11. Harley Quinn (Harley Quinn's Revenge DLC). 12. Hugo Strange Those boss fights were improved, fun and lengthy.

Josh Russell All of which were either predator where the villain was just a mook with maybe a tad more health or boss fights with the repeating patterns of a megaman or metroid monster boss fight. The only two boss fights which broke the mold were Mr Freeze in Arkham City with him adapting to your strategies and deathstroke in Orgins where it becomes a visual spectacle of blades and punches. It speaks volumes about a boss fight when I am willing to buy the game just to play the boss fight again and again. Out of all the boss fights from origins and city, only two really stand out as fun and challenging, and both of these bosses were acknowledged in game and out as being more than a match for Batman on any given day.

For everyone struggling with him: There is ONE thing about this fight that really helped me to realize. Always WAIT for him to attack first and then land a few hits (when he puts out his sword only like 2 or 3). If you don't do this he gonna start a counter attack you CAN'T counter (as far as I noticed). Really, I died so many times because I thought I would be able to counter this combo-attack (he does the same thing with the staff, too but not that painful). If you just wait for him and land a few hits in his "down-phase" it's really easy - even when he fights with the sword!

This game really gave Deathstroke the shaft. Don't get me wrong Batman is my favorite fictional character, but Deathstroke does not go down as easily as he did in this game. Also playable Deathstroke is extremely neutered.

For a man like Deathstroke who can move really fast, is very strong (equally as strong as Batman) and can HEAL like WOLVERINE, it's amazing how him of all people would say to Batman "What are you!?" and Batman is a NORMAL GUY, yeah years of training and strategic planning and gadgets and such but it almost speaks volumes for a man with POWERS to say a man with no POWERS "What are you!?". Deathstroke is ( or was ) in army and he also was test subject for some medical things and that made him Stronger , Faster , Smarter but it aslo made him crazy so they kicked him out of the army and he becamed mercenary. Batman was rich boy who seen how killer killed his parents. When he was adult he was training with assasins master and Shiva. He was trained in all martial art skills and then he became Batman the Dark Knight with special gadgets. So thats that.

The problem most people have with this fight is the countering... because in all actuality it's where most of any existing difficulty is. When fighting in mobs it's easy to pick up the habit of mashing the counter button repeatedly to counter attacks, but in this it's all about timing. Do NOT touch it until the counter button icon shows (or the scene goes in slow motion, for those with icon assist off) and don't go mad pressing it repeatedly when you do see it or Slade will punish you later in the fight when it requires numerous timed counters. The only time to mash repeatedly is when he drops a flash bang and jumps at you with a barrage of attacks from the pole/sword.
