Here it is, my long awaited explanation to the ending of Batman Arkham VR. Although it's fairly obvious, spoilers ahead for those who may not want to know the ending to Batman Arkham VR, or those who are in the midst of/planning on playing Batman Arkham VR.

I absolutely loved this game until it came to the ending. I'm sorry, but am I the only one that thinks they should have gone deeper with this story? Made it a FULL game experience instead of just a short interactive thing. It could have seriously been done. I hope there are more VR games similar to this one, because this was A LOT of fun.

KADØ QUAN This is a comment I see very often. Unless this were my full time job, that cannot be expected of me. I have a life outside of KZbin. I go to school, I have a family and friends to spend time with, and as much as I'd love to sit down and reply to each and every comment I get, it just isn't that easy. There is also an easter egg in Batman Arkham Origins which shows the main plot points of Batman Arkham VR if you look at the drawing board in the Batcave

Dark Knight1603 I know but still it's amazing to see how the story was hinted to gamers years before Arkham VR even came out. If u don't believe me load up Origins and look at the board in the Batcave. It shows batman trying to solve a crime which has the same exact plot points of Arkham VR: Penguin, shrapnel, the morgue, the killer and etc.

to add on, maybe after experiencing the nightmare Batman decides to make the holding cells in the movie theater in Arkham Knight for him and the other infected jokers and kept himself distant from the others like nightwing and robin so that he doesn't have to hurt or kill them like in his dream

Caboosexbl, I'm surprised that you didn't mention the Joker infected blood samples at the beginning of the game. You can find the 4 Joker's blood samples in the Batcave, take your own blood sample, and "learn something about Batman's biology."

so basically they wasted a crucial part of the story on a stupid vr adaptation, rather then just tell us this in arkham knight which in my opinion would have been a lot better.

Matthew d "Crucial" you say that like the events of Arkham VR were truly important to the story, funny. Also this was not stupid, in the aspect of VR games this is a true masterpiece. And finally, they didn't reveal it in Arkham Knight because if you actually paid attention to Rocksteady you would have known that they were originally done with the series after Arkham Knight; this meant they had to adjust their finished story to add in this dream phase. As a story writer I can confirm this is a common problem with writing; your gears get going and pretty soon you're writing page after page and then suddenly you get an amazing idea that fits in the earlier stages of your story and you would have to delete all your progress just to make the single revision. From this stand point what they did to add in this extra tad bit of story was beautifully executed.

WHAT AM I DOING WRONG? So is this game really less than an hour long? I've gone through it three times and end up never being able to explore Gotham. Is there just the four or five areas to play... batcave, Penquin encounter, Nightwings fight scenario, the morgue and the tunnel to Robin, right before the encounter with Joker before the credits?

Sorry for possibly sounding like a nitpicking fanatic but Arkham VR doesn't explain: -Why Bruce sounds so wooden and frigid when looking at the brutalized corpse of Dick Greyson, his adopted son. -Why Killer Croc looks like his further mutated self only seen during the events of Arkham Knight. -Why the footage of the Joker "killing' Jason Todd is in a completely different location than what was implied in Arkham Knight. -Why despite being able to see the nearby scenery of where Jason was "killed", Batman (the world's greatest detective) never bothered searching Arkham's abandoned wing for that area, Jason's body or the Joker. Allowing the Latter and Harley Quinn to torture Jason further for another 6 months. -Why Batman never explicitly warned anyone of his condition or work with them for a back up plan incase the worst possible outcome occurs. Then again this is all most likely me nitpicking.

NetherTraitor258 I didn't play pr watch Arkham VR but I'll do my best to enlighten your questions. -He probably sounded wooden and frigid because VR audio technology isn't as advanced as a high quality speaker -He looks more mutated in AK because that is technically after VR if we go by the dream theory, meaning the last time we saw Croc is reasonably how Bruce sees him in a dream -Again this applies to the dream theory implying it happens before AK, this means Bruce's perception of Jason's death scene could happen anywhere -This one amplies more to just the Batman/DC multiverse (Ask me if you need me to explain that) this just happens to be the universe where he doesn't make this decision -He didn't tell his colleagues because he didn't want them to worry and lose focus on stopping Scarecrow or Penguin, ect. and he did have a plan, he always does, because he's batman. Also it should be mentioned that the Jason torture scenes in Arkham Knight may not be what actually even happened after all Bruce was high on Joker Blood, he could have been just hallucinating like a worst case scenario.

I got a theory that the batman V.R is the joker’s origins story I know that nuts and you can here joker’a voice but at the end you can see that batman is going unstable maybe the gas on the arkham Knight is get in Batman’s brain and that’s why he see the joker everywhere I mean he said batman name COME ON how the joker know that batman is Bruce and maybe the reason why batman doesn’t want to team up is because batman know that he got toxic and he not want to hurt them when he is full joker but he dose

hey caboose, i'm a big fan of your work and love for batman, but i have seen the walkthrough and the arkham vr game, but what i didnt quite understand was the penguin part where he says "he says he saw your boy done it, said you'd be after him" and then the ice berg lounge explodes within that guy, i know he is a witness who saw who killed nightwing, but how did that guy blow up? why? and when? who did it? and why do you investigate the morgue? i'm curious about that, please.let me know & keep up the good work!

boldix slhd penguin tells batman "he saw your boy "DONE IN" figured you'd be after him" batman was the one who blew him up, in the iceberg lounge, because he was a witness. Batmam went to the morgue after penguin told him that's where the guy was.
