It's interesting how Christian Bale used to do interviews in his character's accent.
@alexf020719999 жыл бұрын
He still puts on accents for interviews, but it seems more random now. I've had to go back to his 2000 American Psycho interviews to hear his actual accent, cause now he just keeps changing it. Even in an interview for Exodus he decided to be cockney for no reason.

Wow Bale did alot of research on Batman, much in the same way Hugh Jackman did for Wolverine. Which is probably why their portrayals felt so genuine and likened to the comics. He really dealt deep into the psychology of Batmans character. I really hope Ben Affleck does the same.
@askepios1119 жыл бұрын
I agree and Bale's my favorite thus far, but Bale knows the basics of the character. Which was enough. But you dont have to worry about Affleck doing research because he's been a Bat-fan his whole life. He's probably the most hardcore fan out of all of them.

The comics Bale started out with might explain his voice. In those novels - especially Morrison's Arkham Asylum - Batman was especially stylized. He was drawn as a shadow or a demon, and thus, he spoke like one. Arkham Asylum even stylized the lettering in the speech bubbles to characterize everyone's voices.

I have always seen Bale's Bruce Wayne/the Batman as being the definitive live-action portrayal of the character, similar to how I see Mr. Reeve's Clark Kent/Superman. That was amazing. When he later said that he was half John Connor when that happened I totally believed it. I really believe that he was in the moment of the scene and the DP, who really should have known better than to walk into a scene while filming, was as much at fault for doing that. It is the number one rule.

The DP Shane Hurlbut, definitely did something wrong when he interrupted a rolling scene. But I thought Christian Bale was completely wrong. It shouldn’t be okay to call someone names, threaten them with violence and make them feel miserable for minutes on end for making a mistake. But at the same time, even thought Bale was in the wrong it made me respect him more. It just shows how seriously he takes his art, and I wish more people had the same amount of dedication.
