I really like this version of Harley Separate from The Joker, has her own agenda, using her psychology degree. Seems to have a thing against those who use wealth and power against people. Will be interesting if she ever meets The Joker.

This is a great version of Harley, I still prefer the original, but I think this version works very well

This show's version of Harley Quinn is both the best and worst thing in the show. For starters I LOVE this new version of Harley! She's finally a villain again. DC has been pushing her hard these past years and it's only made some fans, myself included just get annoyed with her. It's great seeing her as her own villain and her plans are unique and diabolical. Using her psychology specialty she mentally and physically breaks down her patients into sub villains or molds them into her liking all to fit her twisted morality. It's such a fresh take and reimagining on such an established character I can't help but commend them for it! But I also can't help but criticize them for other things too. For starters the biggest issue with this episode is the fact that it's only one episode. This is all we get of new Harley. This should've been a two parter or at least an arc that spanned the whole season instead of Two-Face (which we've seen countless times before). Also it was a huge missed opportunity not to have Bruce Wayne be one of Harley's captives. I mean they had Bruce be a patient of her a few episodes ago so why not use that? Some of Batman's most thrilling stories are of him being taxed mentally to the max like with "Court of Owl's" & "Deacon Blackfire". Another issue with this episode was the focus on Barbra Gordon, which took time away from Harley Quinn being a villain. It's also an issue because they only just established a friendship between Barba and Harleen this episode. Had their been more of a build up it would've been more impactful when Barbra thought Harley had died. In fact why wasn't Rene Montoya the focus instead of Barbra? They had the two flirt in the last episode (which is way more build up than we got with Barbra) and Montoya has had more development and screen time so far so it would've been more impactful to have her find out her crush is a psycho kidnapper. So yeah I loved what they did with Harley but the episode itself just felt flat for me

For me, this is the best version of Harley to ever exist, and the simple brilliance of it hinges on: 1) removing the joker entirely from her origin, giving her agency from the jump 2) Flip flopping the personas, making Dr. Quinzel the more fun, flighty, somewhat chaotic one and making Harley dark and scary and serious

The phones in the restaurant would be plugged into a port near the table to avoid a 20ft cord. You have to be willing to reimagine some characters. Otherwise, the show becomes a carbon copy of every other Batman. Batman, Superman, no other super heroes have had more shows and retelling of the same origin. Main reason why DC movies don't measure up to the phases Marvel has taken us through.

Nice reaction. I think I have it now: it is a good show, but this new Batman animated series didn't really please me very much. Something is missing.

We say that on the big review at the end of episode 10. It’s good but it’s not mind blowing and don’t think any of the changes made it any better.
