Both in the show and in real life, polygraphs can be tricked. Real life polygraphs are so unreliable that their results are not permissible as evidence in most court cases. Only 8 states allow them and half of them only if specific conditions are met.

She mastered controlling sand, but the power system in ATLA is very physics based. In sand, her seismic sense would be dampened no matter the proficiency with the sand. Of course some vibrations still pass along, but losing considerable part of the energy each step of the way. She probably could sense a couple of steps of distance at best, unless an earthquake happens at the same time she is in the sand to provide the required vibration for her to sense things clearly in the sand

Tbh, Batman doesn't have to specifically use non-metallic substances. There are metals unaffected by earth-bending, such as Platinum. It's heavy, but useful. Platinum mechs were a PAIN to fight against in the main series, so Batman could just overpower toph with a modern version of it.

Small problem. We’re talking about Toph. Sure she may not be able to bend them, but she’s still one of the most powerful Earth Benders ever in the world of Avatar. Barring the Avatar and people like Bumi, she’s in a whole other league. And could still bend earth and maybe even lava. And at her prime, she could see things from miles away through Seismic Sense. So yeah some metals she can’t bend, but that’s only a small part of her toolkit. Even sand doesn’t seem like a major problem for her after she mastered that skill.

Considering the fact that Toph demonstrated she could sense the movements of ants in her very first episode in the show, I highly doubt any invention Batman could create would dampen his movements on the ground to the point where Toph would have trouble sensing him. Staying airborne or floating on a body of water are the only guaranteed way to stay hidden from Toph's seismic sense.

The biggest problem I see with any contingency plan addressing Toph is she’ll likely see you coming from miles away. She claimed to be able to see things happening on the other side of the continent in Korra. So you’d need to attack from the air. Not only to prevent her detecting your approach before you even know her location, but I doubt Toph would struggle to identify Batman as Bruce Wayne with her Seismic Sense. She once found Aang in a party as soon as he arrived. And while Toph could be a great ally, she also has a selfish streak. One could very easily find her annoyed at any attempts to control her and she may do something out of spite. Not like she’d join a villain or kill people, but smash your stuff or reveal who Batman is are certainly possibilities.

In fact, Sun sits outside of all classifications in the world of Journey to the West, not only of all beings but of immortals as well. To top off everything, he became a Buddha at the end of the story. In short, Batman would have to plan a contingency against a being beyond gods who sits outside of all classification.
