i really liked this story, i like when heroes are broken down with real illnesses, like red hood and batman's ptsd issues from torturing and dying, watching family members die and also constant physical pain they go through., roy's alcoholism, aquaman's adjustment disorder as he doesnt know if he should be on land or in atlantis, wally west's anxiety and depression from coming back to a new world without his old one. the ending gave us booster's ptsd, the broken down heroes are some of the most interesting in comics

The 60's comics were exactly as camp and childish as Adam Wests show... which makes Adam West and George Clooney probably the most accurate Batmen, based on that era lol. I don't really count that era, most die hard Batman fans tend to ignore the 60's lol.

I've been asking Benny @Comicstorian to cover "Ten Nights of The Beast", a 1994 comic which at the end, sees Batman lock KGBeast in an inescapable room and left him to starve to death, telling the cops not to worry about him anymore. It was ret-conned some time later when Nightwing called him out on it for being a murderer, as DC started trying to improve Batmans reputation without ignoring continuity, but the comics original intent was clear. It was the most cold and calculated I've ever seen Batman. He's been more brutal before, like throwing guys into the melty kind of acid, casually breaking necks (a favourite of his) etc. But I swear his dialogue to KGBeast in that moment before calmly closing the door and walking away... that shit gave me chills up my spine! Also, in Killing Joke from 1988, Gordon specifically tells batman to take Joker in "by the book, we have to show him we're better, that the system works"... he wouldn't have said that if Batman was already known for taking people alive _all the time_

Hm. I don't think Tom King understands Booster Gold. He's a showboat but genuinely guards time with the upmost care. Check out the series '52' and see where the big character development happens for him. This gift seems SUPER out of character.

It was a bad decision he made that got out of hand and then he started to act desperate when he kept failing to fix it. The one out-of-character moment I can spot was when he first went to the Gift timeline's Bruce and tried to talk to him like he was the Bruce from the mainstream DC timeline.

I really liked this version of Booster Gold in this comic series; it shows how despite his desire to want to do the right thing for his friend; he ends up making things worse off for everyone else. That and that last bit at the end with constantly cleaning his glasses reminded me so much of Lady Macbeth and her obsession/guilt and thus gave me a far more sympathetic feeling towards Booster Gold... Can't wait for that wedding though! :-D

When it comes to Booster Gold, I like to watch and observe. The reason for this is that I have a theory that the more characters travel through time, the more crazy they become. I call it "Time Travel Madness" and each jump causes you to go a little more insane. I like this Booster Gold. It makes sense for a time traveler to be a little confused/crazy. A time paradox drives the audience nuts so why not a person living it? Plus his happy go lucky personality brings a sadness that seems real. This was dope.

I actually love this story! I’ll admit that I didn’t know that much about Booster Gold before I watched this video, but this video also informed me about the kind of character Booster Gold was! He was a time-traveling kid from the future that wanted to be a superhero who is constantly learning from his mistakes! And it throws in those classic twisted DC timelines that we love so much! I’m glad I finally have context for Booster and can stop going, “Who is this cocky smart-mouth and why does he keep showing up?”
