Batman wasn't really winning that fight. Batman acknowledges that punching superman broke ever bone in his hand. Batman couldn't fight for much longer and the whole point was to stall long enough.

Bat fanboys always try and use this as an example of Batman beating Superman in a fight. It really isn't. Batman completely failed to stop Superman in battle. He outright admits that he can not stop Superman. The only reason Batman even survived was because Superman was already weakened from Kryptonite poisoning (Poison Ivy's kryptonite lipstick kiss) and his incredible willpower to hold back as much as possible and not hurt Batman. Superman could effortlessly end Batman in an instant in a true fight.

Am I the only one who questions Bruce's criminology degree? I mean the very core concept of criminology is lost upon both the writers and the figure of Batman, criminology depicts criminals as victims of society to be reformed in methods more efficient than prison. Nothing in Bruce's behavior indicates that he's heard a single lecture on criminology. Also it is in no way useful to an aspiring crimefighter, criminology is not a science on how criminals think, it's an empirical science on the social factors that makes a person into a deviant. I've always said that Batman mastering over a hundred of martial arts and all the PhD's ever known to man over just 20 years is the most bullshit thing I've ever heard which is an offense to all the great academic minds who take entire lifetimes to achieve mastery over a subject. Not to mention an offense to martial artists who take whole lifetime to master a martial art. Even prodigies among martial artists are not capable of such ridiculous feats, the only acceptable outcome of such a venture would be Batman lacking knowledge in both the martial arts he has been trained in and the subjects he studied which having his criminology studies in mind (btw criminology isn't even a subject you can get a degree in, it's just one of many disciplines you study) isn't too surprising how he lacks any knowledge of what criminology even is or stands for.

Roman Mann Acknowledging the faults in something is the first part to improvement and we all want comics to be as good as possible. Dismissing something only "because it's a comic book" won't help your favorite books get better, it's ignoring their problems. Only by nitpicking the smallest faults we can truly help the writers make them better one day.

Even if it was a degree in forensic science. It wouldn't take long before someone figured out Bruce Wayne is Batman. To me, it would be a much better story if Bruce had an Master of Business Administration. Look, there is NO way that his parents would let him OWN AND LEAD the BIGGEST (or second biggest if you count Lexcorp) CORPORATION IN AMERICA unless he had an MBA. THEN he could have just picked up a few forensic science or related classes as electives to get him enough knowledge to know whatever he needs to know to be a detective (it honestly doesn't take that much teaching).

I am not making a point that Batman should be more realistic, I'm making a point that if he says to have a PhD in criminology the writer should at least know what the science is actually about. It's the same as him having degrees in physics and chemistry but running around accusing people of witchcraft and burning them on stakes. I'm not making a point about realism, I know superheroes are supposed to represent the best of us but when the best of us has no idea about a science degree of which he has... I'm sorry, that's just lousy storytelling. Just like a writer depicting a black hole being open in visible distance from Earth. If you write about something you should at least have a basic understanding of the things you write about. In this case a simple case of googling would've helped with this idiotic hole in logics.

The flashpoint Batman who is actually Thomas Wayne is a very cool and violent Batman. He has a mini series which I highly suggest you check out if you haven't and he is an important character in the Flashpoint story arc.
