They fucked it up by shooting Batman on a park bench and thought a 3 minute slideshow which literally, with a line each, explains that the team they worked with the whole Time could have deactivated the neck bombs, that Batman and the JL were cloned, and that the world just magicked itself back to normal and the JL needed a break. Fuck that ending. It angers me to know Kevin Conroy won't be heard in a positive surrounding again. Its him I feel sorry for. We were fucked.

That game has literally died at launch from the controversy of the story taking place on killing all the heroes, which was also the worst ever timing for batman's voice actor to do his last role before passing, not just to a hero that died by the hands of the villians but also a hero that died in the most pathetic way possible. I still stand by the fact that this game should’ve been a survival horror game where each chapter focuses on surviving and figuring out a way to kill each member of the League while they hunt you down. Look, I get why they did a cheap slideshow ending because the profit margin for this game was non existent, so it's miraculous they didn't wind up just doing it all in Microsoft paint. However, story wise that's the most half assed attempt to ret-con previous errors I've seen since The Rise Of Skywalker. People really are under playing how forced this entire ending is. This ending literally proves why you shouldn't base your entire game's story on its live service model. Wonder woman is still dead, the justice league clone thing was clearly a retcon because people got mad and the fact they believed they'd have 13 seasons is a genuine laugh with how obvious this back peddling is. "And everyone lived happy ending" isn't a satisfying conclusion. I don't care if Arkham batman is alive. I don't care if the squad got the bombs out. You can say I'm not saying anything new but genuinely think. They expected this game to have 12 seasons. Probably more. Rocksteady should be sued for this. My understanding when purchasing the game initally was the campaign was only about 8 hrs but it would be a full completed story told throughout the seasons. Having a 2 min cutscene for each one is unbelievably ridiculous. They even stated at launch that Kevin Conroy had recorded much more dialogue that would be added later. That was a lie. The fact the clones and the Justice League being alive was planned from the get go is one thing but somehow seeing it all in motion makes it so much worse. Especially when the game acts like its a surprise when the hints were so obvious it didnt take much to put two and two together. Yet it all ends with a slide show narrated by Harley, without a single ounce of looking like they cared to give a satisfying ending
