What's up motherfolkers. Here's a weekly dose of folked-up video game music cover to listen to in a loop for about an hour. I love that drop from the tapping lines back into the main melody in the original. Also had to tinker with the bass line and separate it into two tracks, one on banjo and the other on the u-bass. The music from that Batman game is superb. Streets of Desolation from that game was used again in the PC Engine Batman game and was given a bit of a neat upgrade. Every tune from it, including this one, is a classic though. Now I wanna play it again.

Another great one. Some Batman tunes I like from other systems: Chem factory (Amiga) and the Cathedral (C64). Those games/levels have the theme where the villain is afraid of you and must be stopped from escaping. That's unusual (in almost any game), as you can take multiple hits and boss only one.

Media Glitch Yes, more from Batman. The Stage 1 tune, Streets of Desolation, is one of my favorite NES songs. I was actually communicating with the sound programmer for Batman (for my article series The History of Sunsoft) this morning when a friend linked to this video. So I sent it to About S.S. He said '素晴らしい！！！', which means something like 'Great!!!'.
