15:15 - Fun fact, Michelle Pfeiffer extensively trained and learned how to use a whip. This scene where she beheads three mannequins was not only done in one take, but was done on the fist take. In the BTS footage on YT, you can hear director Tim Burton yell "cut" after she does it, to which the entire crew appears in the frame to cheer and applaud her skill.

I think she was taught how to use a whip by Antony de Longis, same man who taught the whip to Harrison Ford for Indiana Jones and to Anthony Hopkins and Antonio Banderas for the zorro movies.

Catwoman is what we would call a "tweener" in pro wrestling. Neither hero nor villain. She is a thief, in most traditional origin stories. A really good thief with a taste for super high-end scores. She doesn't tend to kill people & she has a soft spot for the less fortunate. This means that sometimes she's on Batman's side but only when it suits her personal goals.

I just watched this last night myself! It's one of my all time favorite Christmas movies and movies in general. What's so different about it is unlike other traditional Christmas films, this one does not have a happy ending. The hero despite making through doesn't really feel like a victory. The Penguin's story is one of the saddest and tragic stories I've ever seen for a villain. Catwoman's story despite showing she's somewhat open to change and real happiness rejects it outright and chooses to be a loner. Max Schreck is really the only villain losing that feels justified. The scene that always gets me is the Penguin's funeral where the only ones who never abandoned him and who truly loved him place him to rest in the water. Tim Burton and Danny Elfman of course are geniuses and masters of their crafts and bring together an experience that directors and composers are STILL trying to replicate.

Fun Fact #2: If you’re as big a fan of Danny Elfman as you let on, you might enjoy checking out the band he fronted back in the ‘80’s. They were called ‘Oingo Boingo’ and they sounded just as chaotic and goofy as that name would suggest. You can still hear where his musical sensibilities were even back then. I think it's fair to say Catwoman is more of an anti-hero. Especially in this version. Originally she is a cat burglar, a thief, but she's not a killer. She can sometimes do the right thing, but mostly she's motivated If there's a profit in it. There is a comicbook adaptation of the cancelled 3rd Tim Burton Batman movie, which was apparently gonna be called Batman Continues (I don't know If the comic has that title also). The villain in that one is Billy Dee Williams's Harvey Dent as Two-Face, Robin is introduced & he's black (Marlon Wayans was considered for the role) & Catwoman would have returned also. Speaking of Catwoman, the infamous Halle Berry movie was originally gonna be a spinoff movie with Michelle Pfeiffer returning, but that project took years before it could be made & Pfeiffer lost interest (plus I think she was relieved to not having to put on the suit again since it wasn't a pleasure to put that suit on & off according to her)

Dont know if anyone mentioned if but Michelle actually did her own stunts and whip work. She actually learned how to handle a whip and did the moves herself on set. There are videos from about the last 4 or 5 years where fans handed a whip to her and she can STILL pull off the moves from Returns nearly 30 years later. THATS an actor.
