I never really understood why there was so much toxicity around Joel’s death in The Last of Us Part 2, but maybe now I do. Except, this is infinitely worse. I think it would have been more satisfying if the Batcave was another base used by the Squad to do certain upgrades and it was a requirement for them to return there to find out each contingency plan individually before trying to fight each hero. And, since they basically require macguffins to fight each member of the Justice League, they could find each of them possibly stashed away in other, smaller Batcaves previously used as FOBs by Batman. Could even make it a puzzle to break into each one to add some variety to the gameplay. Them finding the contingency plans after already beating some of the members, while it could be a little funny, won't feel satisfying from a story perspective.
