I did like the fact that Wonder Woman smiled when Doomsday hit her. Since she had already given up on helping humankind I think it has been a while since her last fight. But she's a warrior, that's how she was raised. Period. So, IMO, when she smiled in the middle of the fight she was thinking "Yeah, I missed this". It must have felt like home. And, she is fighting alongside other two great warriors, like the good ol'times! Now, proceed to discuss.

The Flash was yelling "Bruce!" "Listen to me now!" "It's Lois, Lois lane!" "She's the key!" "Am I too soon!?, ahh I'm too soon!" "You were right about him!, you've always been right!" "Fear him!" "Find us Bruce!, Find us now!" It's so distorted one because the flash makes it seem like this his only chance or its his first time traveling trough time so he makes it urgently and two because his voice and words seem to be crossing over one another each word at a different time in the sentence, like say he's trying to tell Bruce about Lois but his own voice is talking over him about Bruce being right. What am I doing with my life. Asked myself this question halfway through but thought might as well commit if I'm taking it this far

it's masterfully done. These are the parts that some dumb critics are saying were not edited well. Even Grace was confused. But Snyder did it on purpose. To invoke the same feelings of confusion and uncertainty as Bruce must have been feeling ... it was surrealism.

+No. I thought Flash was talking about Martha Kent. He was telling him to "save her" otherwise superman would loose his shit and go all injustice. I get the feeling that in another time line batman defeated superman and martha kent died. When superman eventually regenerated (he always does) he went insane and joined darkseid.

Mathias Mueller Sure this movie had a lot of bad shit. And they are rushing this DC universe with this movie. But I was still entertained by it. As long as DC/WB works with people like Zack Snyder, unfortunately this is what we get. They seem to think they can do no wrong. This problem always lies with the production. The problem was with the writing but apparently DC doesn't want GOOD writers. Go figure.

I saw the movie today and really, really enjoyed it. A lot more than I did Star Wars The Force Remaking. The script for Dawn of Justice was better than the bland one for Man of Steel, not on par with the Christopher Nolan films, but just simply not as stale. Thank the studio for hiring someone to rewrite David S. Goyer's original script. To me, he's never really written a good one. I'm happy to see the kind of direction DC is going with their cinematic universe. Zack Snyder did a wonderful job. Can't wait for Suicide Squad. By the way, Kevin Smith is dead to me.

winterwolf211 Bruce Wayne's dreams were a pivotal plot point of this movie and the coming DC movies. So yeah, they needed to do it.
@1badnomad
@1badnomad 8 жыл бұрын
They served two purposes with that dream. One, this movie was made for an international audience, and whereas you and I have seen Bruce Wayne's parents die before, many movie goers will have not. So they got Batman's origin out of the way in a quick dream sequence right at the beginning. Two, they establish that this Bruce Wayne is tormented and driven by dreams, and they use that as a plot point to diverge the story arc later in the movie when introducing what you and I recognize as Flash and Apokolips.

Regarding Wonder Woman smiling during the Doomsday fight, I get what they were going for. Despite being an ambassador for peace, Diana is a warrior at heart. You don't get to be that badass of a fighter without enjoying physical conflict on some level. That smile conveyed "Finally! A challenge!"

But when then Marvel does the same in series form...then it´s brilliant.

+ArielAleXCo Superman fly's by altering gravity aka "space time". Its a hidden power but he is able to extend this power to things he's touching, making them lighter, also making it so the things don't collapse or crumble while he's holding them. If you watch him fly in the desert scene, you'll see "space time" bend around him. Other movies he catches planes that should still fall at the same rate even if he's holding it ( the ppl inside the plane should've died) caught Ms. Lane mid air ( tho the speed she was falling, hitting superman's arms should've killed her, not to mention the speed superman had to go to catch her ), picking up huge sheets of ice etc. These aren't feats of strength

Having two Flashes is redundant and fatiguing. They already told his origin story in the TV show. We don't need another origin story. And The actor that plays Dr. Wells/Reverse-flash on TV is the best villain in DC live action. There is no need for redundancy!

Plot was great?? After 90 minutes of building the conflict of Batman and Superman, Batman just says "Oh, your mom has the same name as my mom?? Let's be cape-friends!" I felt the transition between scenes of Lex, Bruce and Clarke to be very unnatural. The scenes are either rotated too quickly or are long enough to feel stretched (especially the end funeral scene). Jesse Eisenberg as Lex seems very comical. I almost felt he was gonna start tap-dancing any moment now.

Ikr! That "Find martha. save her" line Cavill delivers when Bats is stepping on his throat was so bad it made me turn away from the screen and shake my head. How about the joke Martha makes feeling so out of place right after Bats kills that dude?
@91jsarath
@91jsarath 8 жыл бұрын
+John Berry It seems that the only reason why Batman stopped from killing Supes was that his mom's name "Martha" reminded him of his own mom, so he will forget the 18 months of anger, resentment and contempt towards Superman. Does not feel natural at all. And Yeah, Superman could have said it before the fight started. Just say "Hey, Lex has my mom. He created this false impression of me and manipulated both of us".

Geez, so much angry children in the comments. Eat a snickers already! Regardless of how anyone feels about the movie, it really speaks volumes about people when they trash the reviewer. It's interesting to see several POV'S and just because you may not agree with one, you proceed to degrade the person. What does that say about you? You must be a shitty person in real life and angry at the world or something in that fashion. Idk but, even when I watch various reviews I definitely don't agree with, I don't "unsubscribe" or make death threats to the person, because I respect everyone's genuine perspective. Some of you people are ridiculous with these hate comments. You don't have to agree with her but at least be mature with the response, geez... While flawed, like ANY OTHER film, I absolutely loved it and Grace, awesome job! I always enjoy your input and can tell you are extremely dedicated. Once again, great job!

So having Batman kill people, Superman not smiling or trying to save people, Jessie Eisenberg trying to be the Joker (he was nothing like Luthor do not lie by saying he was),having a rushed story that makes no sense, and Superman killed after the second of 2 movies was a treat for DC fans? I'd hate to see how DC punishes it's fans.

Ok, I finally got to see this movie and was really let down. First of all Jesse Eisenberg's portrayal of Lex Luthor was the worst part of the film!! Second they wasted Doomsday and the death of Superman! 3rd What the hell was that Grandma's peach tea nonsense?!?!?! Seriously what a waste of screen time. 4th Not enough BvS fight and it was too far into the movie. 5th Batman is supposed to be this great detective and couldn't find out who Superman's secret identity and who raised him but Lois Lane could. 6th They tried to cram too much into this movie and it lacked good substance.

+Beyond The Trailer and there you have it a big easter egg for the jl movie, Darkseid controlling Supes was in the superman tas and lately in the jl war animated movie, but we might not see that at all if they decide to make these dreams like a flashpoint universe and a warning about what could happen if they made the wrong calls. I believe that a second supes solo movie(this coming from a die hard batman fangirl) is needed to fill some plot holes and finally give us a superman that as batman said is the most human of us all.

Re: 9:27 The reason why they didn't leave: because it's against building protocol-they don't want to cause stampede and a panic so buildings are evacuated zone by zone. I remember when there was a hostage situation near our building and, though we wanted to leave, we couldn't: the lifts were stopped and exits to stairs were monitored. Bruce Wayne here was saying "don't wait for the signal; evacuate now!" But Jack was "in-charge" and had to stay behind and monitor the situation... except Zod did the eye-thingee a few floors below him and so he realised he's not getting out. 10:55 Established in "Man of Steel" that Clarck learned to "turn off" his vision and hearing powers so he won't go mad hearing everything. His x-ray vision was not turned on and someone who believes in personal liberties won't peek into someone, especially someone who's gone on record to blame him for the loss of his legs. He's a boyscout... and he paid for it.

There are so many reviewers and critics talking about the dirt rising up a little at the end - either not knowing what it is or saying how it's too "in your face" about Superman coming back. Somehow none of them recall the snow/dirt/rocks lifting around both Superman and Zod in MoS when they're about to take flight... Not to mention the multiple very clear heartbeats put into the lulls of the music before they even show the dirt. It was clear well before the dirt raised that he wasn't dead - particularly for DC fans who know that Doomsday kills Superman and Superman does indeed return.

The pace is something different, I was expecting a 2hr action fest and was a little let down at first to see that it had backstory and then was fine with it that it had development in a story and the characters. Besides civil war you don't see a really good hero hates hero movie. I thought the movie was pretty mature with the scenes, deaths, like it was made for an actual audience older than 18. I also loved the score. It was also different and just pleasing to the senses.

So he puts enough bell and whistle, big explosions, over the top characters, with a nonsensical story line. He did such a good job that Grace Is calling this a really good movie. Meanwhile the "REAL" critic are Slamming this movie!! Shame on you Grace.

Maybe it's just me idk? But I honestly feel like Wonder Woman smiling in her battle with Doomsday displayed her Amazonian Princess side how she loves combat and loves a good fight. The movie showed her going toe-to-toe with Doomsday head on couldn't have been any closer and just like you I thought it was absolutely breathtaking.

In retrospect Wonder Woman smiling is a callback to Robin Wright's smile in battle. They're warrior Amazon's who may not want to fight but enjoy when they do.

This film is clear evidence that DC is panicking in their attempt to catch up with Marvel. They tried to jam way too much information in one film (and did it in a way only the geeks will appreciate) The most disappointing aspect of this film is that all the disjointed pieces are things we would like to see... in different films. I like the actors and characters (with the exception of Jessie Eisenburg's "Lex"). Now lets put them in stories worthy of them.

+mutant messiah Kubrick was an visual director and unappreciated in his time. I think she's just comparing them in that sense.

+John Doe He was also criticized for choosing visuals over story ie 2001, The Shining, Clockwork orange, etc.

John Doe I feel though that with someone like Kubrick, he told the story through his visuals. Zack Snyder just puts what he thinks is cool on the screen and it's just somewhat insulting to be compared to someone who meticulously planned out every single detail in a shot.

"Maybe Batman will just stick him in some goo and say 'We need you!" It's funny how accurate you were with that prediction haha
